@adoring_sohee That’s what I think. She has been in a trap. I prefer her to come and write sth in our old chatroom when she wants to. Warmly welcome her comfortable time and we all are available and standby for 24/7. I know she needs to use lots of time and energy to communicate with us.

After exactly a year, Sohee’s Hi& communication service finally ended. I kinda expected this would happen because firstly, Sohee and her agency subscribed to this platform with the intention to communicate with Sosamo about the FM since the coverage wasn’t only in Korea. After completing the FM, Sohee did mention in passing on Hi& live that she wanted to continue communicating. In my opinion, the way I saw it, her expression felt like an extension of the original purpose…which originally after the FM ended, the service should have ended too. But if I may share my thoughts about Sohee when it comes to chatting/communicating with fans, from what I’ve observed, she’s the type who doesn’t want to feel like she has to commit to constantly updating or reporting her activities to fans. We can see this through her chats, whether on KakaoTalk, IG, blog or even Hi&. While other artists tend to pop up frequently sharing anecdotes or just saying hi, Sohee is obviously the opposite. On Hi&, she came once or twice a month, but the content or topics she shared were never the same. I think for fans who are looking for active communication, this kind of situation might be upsetting. But for me, I feel content with it. Every chat, voice message or live stream (usually about 1 hour) covered a wide range of topics and most of the time it felt deep and precious. Nothing predictable. It’s like I learned so many new things about her in this one year. It is definitely a precious moment and a gift to Sosamo because we could see Lee Sohee instead of Han Sohee the celebrity communicating with us. But Sohee doesn’t like seeing her fans keep spending on her or waiting for her to come. Subscribing to this kind of service kinda binds you…it has to be a two-way communication. There was even a time she said she felt sorry that fans kept waiting for her and sending her messages. Also, I personally think that even though I loved that app so much since everything was convenient for me, unfortunately many fans couldn’t access it due to various reasons. I’ve always felt that all Sohee’s fans should have the same exposure to what she wants to share or convey, but that didn’t really work in this situation. Anyways, it was fun and memorable. Maybe I’ll think of ways to share some appropriate content she shared with Sosamo there (of course everything is appropriate, but I mean content that won’t get misunderstood or criticized by the public). Since the last day is on 30 April and Sohee usually comes every month, I think she might visit us one last time. But even if she doesn’t, I believe she’ll find other ways to communicate sincerely with Sosamo. It’s sad that this has come to an end because I think this was the closest medium for fans all over the world to feel close to her, and she was also happy to communicate with fans without non-fans interfering. But everything that starts must have an end, and those endings lead to new beginnings, right? So let’s see what she has prepared for us. I’m waiting for her YouTube channel since she briefly mentioned it too 🤍

Yes and even though she loves her fans so much, I think she really values her personal time too especially since she’s so busy and doesn’t get much rest. This is just my opinion, but it feels like always having to think about fans waiting for her on a paid app probably made her feel a bit pressured…even if she didn’t mean for it to feel that way.

09.05.2025 | Lee Sohee: These days, I've been hearing 'cheer up' a lot more than usual, so I think it's been a time I've felt thankful. There are also many people who worry because of the malicious comments, but like I said before, malicious comments can just be dismissed or ignored. I also see them as feedback that judges me most objectively and coldly, so you really don't have to worry too much ❤️ As always, we are people who grow while living life with the right amount of support, concern and worry, and sometimes by accepting that what's wrong is just wrong. These days, what I think about most is what's the best thing I can give back to my fans. That could be something acting-related, or it could be things like talking and working through things together like this. So I'm really happy. The weight that comes with it, of course, is something I have to bear, so it's not difficult for me at all. Compared to this endless love, the weight I carry even feels endlessly light. So I have to work harder, and I'm already working hard, but I have to do even better. Rather than those things coming as pressure, it feels more like the process of me growing into a better person. And I think it's something that's possible because you are the ones who go through those times with me. Well, sometimes, what's wrong with feeling a bit stressed for a day? Rich family’s daughter - 11 Sept 2025 Sohee: The characters I have done until now all had many hardships of life and roles ㅎㅎ just want to try once the role of a rich family’s daughter 😁 Interesting right? Just looking at the list makes me excited. But Sohee herself said that even though she receives many scripts, she doesn’t think every character fits her. So we just have to wait and see which character she feels confident to show us. ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ Also, I’ve been reading a bit about 태연한 거짓말 novel adaptation (no confirmed English title for now, but it’s translated as Brazen Lies - the one Lee Jun Hyuk is cast in) and the character Yeon Woo Kyung. A copywriter / PR strategist working inside a big corporate group, caught in internal politics and all that. It’s not even something Sohee has explicitly said she wants to do, but somehow it feels like a character she could pull off. And it’s kinda interesting because looking back at all the roles she mentioned before, none of them were really “professional occupation” type characters like this. Makes me feel like she doesn’t really choose based on the job itself, but more on the character and what she can do with it. I just think something about Woo Kyung feels like her. If she ever can’t find the “melodrama piece” she’s looking for right now, I would really like to see her try something like this too. A proper office setting, but not too light. Just…if scripts like this ever reach her, I hope she at least gets to consider one. ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ Or I kinda have a wishful thought that she might appear in a recent project with senior actors Lee Young Ae and Yoo Ji Tae. I think she can get great exposure from it. I don’t know if I’m the only one thinking this, but I really don’t mind if Sohee isn’t the solo lead, main lead or whatever lead it is.. Because for me, what matters more is the character, the story, the experience, and the satisfaction she gets from the project. And I don’t know if anyone noticed this, but Sohee once said she likes working in projects where not only one character gets the spotlight. And looking at her projects, the ones she got to choose herself without going for auditions like My Name, Nevertheless, Gyeongseong Creature and Project Y, the casts really shine together regardless of whether they are protagonists or antagonists. ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ And I hope Sosamo remembers that our Sohee is not just an actress but also a fashion icon. So while we are not seeing her in acting projects that often, she is not just resting but also has many other important activities and meetings behind the scenes that she doesn’t show or share with us. But I personally think Sohee is doing a great job handling these two roles. As an actress, her projects were released every year except 2025 (since she focused on fan meetings and filming Project Y + The Intern remake). And in terms of ambassadorship, she has elevated her position from a top-tier brand model to a top-tier brand ambassador and even global ambassador level. Last year alone, she was selected as an ambassador for two major Korean brands, BHC Chicken and Musinsa Standard. Even with only 8 brands now (Fila, Dior, Omega, Boucheron, L’Oréal Paris, Charles & Keith, BHC, Musinsa Standard), the level is completely different from before. And the status and payment are on another tier. ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ To sum up, I’m happy with what she has achieved right now. She has the assets she wants and stable financial support. I was thinking if she couldn’t find the melodrama piece that fits her at this moment, she might go for a serial killer or psychopath/sociopath character first since she mentioned it quite a few times in 2021, 2022 and 2025. Or a ghost/vampire character in a horror film (mentioned in 2024 and 2025), or even a 19+ comedy film since she said it would be more fun with rough swearing. Actually there are a lot of genres and characters Sohee wants to try. Others I pulled from her past interviews: 1. Any role with country accents - 6 Oct 2017 Sohee: I am confident in any role with a country accent. 2. Darker roles like Save Me - 6 Oct 2017 Sohee: There is a limit to the roles that a newly debuted actress can play. I want to break that glass ceiling and play darker roles. I am a big fan of the drama ‘Save Me.’ I really like the role Seo Yeaji played, Sang Mi. I don’t want cute and pretty to be the primary focus of my roles. I want to show some human qualities. 3. The role like that of Choi Aera in Fight for My Way - 31 Jan 2018 Sohee: Although she’s a character with a difficult background and her own story, the way she lives positively is the kind of bright image I wanted. I don’t usually do aegyo, but if needed, I can do Aera’s baby-like aegyo too. (btw idk if she still wanna play this considering her age range now 😅) 4. Women’s friendship like Age of Youth or Sunny - 31 Jan 2018 Sohee: I want to work with actresses more than men. Bromance is common these days, but womance is rare. I want to appear in a work that deals with women's friendship. For example, the drama Age of Youth and the movie Sunny. I lived in Ulsan and came to Seoul, so I don't have many friends in Seoul. I want to film a drama together and build a real friendship together. *She also said the drama she hopes for is Age of Youth. She expressed that if a new series comes out, she definitely wants to appear in it. 5. Comical character like Na Sang-sil played by Han Yeseul in Fantasy Couple - 30 Oct 2018 Sohee: The acting of Na Sang-sil, who shows a comical side after losing her memory, remains memorable and the outward appearance looks fine, but a character with a trap is attractive. 6. Reporter, Crime suspense 05 Nov 2018 Sohee: There are so many bromances these days. But there wasn't a lot of things like womance genre. It was unfamiliar. I want to do things like that. I'm not sure if I dare to decide on my partner. But I really enjoyed watching "Misty" recently. So, Kim Namjoo's role as a reporter was so...so cool. I want to try things like that, too. *MISTY synopsis: This drama is a Crime Suspense centering around a headstrong anchorwoman who becomes the suspect in a murder case. I watched it and loved it so much! Pls watch if you have time! 9. Killer - 21 Oct 2021 Sohee: I am reading many scripts to show the many sides of Han Sohee to entertain the fans. This may sound bizarre, but I want to play a serial killer. After studying many noir movies and shooting fierce action scenes in ‘My Name,’ I think I became somewhat indifferent to films with a lot of blood spilling. This can be a good chance to do more unique roles like a serial killer. +
