@CryptoWendyO i build language learning tools so this hits different for me. automatic translation removes the friction of reading — but it doesn't teach you anything. the question is whether passive exposure at this scale eventually creates curiosity to actually learn. i think it will.

AI just eliminated the reading barrier for millions of people overnight. the irony: i spent months building tools to help people learn languages. I was a non-tech founder and since i start to explore agentic coding with claude code, i have found a handful of these subscription are just squandering for me. sometimes I do not need an app, rather a small pipeline can solve the problem. sometimes, an app deos help, and it's fun to build by ourselves.

@chromaticc_ @dev_maims well how fast can you write, and how well can you structural the thinking. as for the hallucination, thats on us to make sure it is not susceptible to. in addition, llm does improve fast too

@adriansensus @dev_maims what use is an LLM at that point? i already do the thinking, and even current LLMs still hallucinate and produce bad output even from good requirements with the "creative liberties" they will just take for whatever reason. i might as well just write it myself

AI generates your code in under a minute. You spend a few hours debugging it. You could’ve just written it yourself in about an hour. But that would mean actually thinking… and apparently we don’t do that anymore
