I doubt average bat speed over that small of a sample is at all relevant. Maybe if you see someone show a max bat speed like 2 mph higher than he did all of last year.

I forget the name of the pitcher that has the "backwards slider" but Camilio Doval is throwing 98 mph "backwards sliders" and that's disgusting. Why is it not a sinker and actually a "backwards slider"? It has very little horizontal tail. As little as 6" arm side. That's the hallmark of a uniquely different pitch than a traditional sinker, because its spinning more like a football (gryo spin) than a sinker/2-seamer. AT 98 MPH!!!! 🤮🤮🤮

Delauter would be a top 10/15 prospect if not for injuries but that oversells it. What McGonigle/konnor have done with bat considering age far outweighs Delauter and both are better defenders as well. He’s more in the Sal Stewart/carson benge level when healthy
