@kekissinger_ I am so happy about this decision. These products are very expensive and often children do not ask for a tampon from a friend as it is embarrassing at a young age. This is a great way for it to be affordable and comfortable to access these products when needed. #SUsocialwork

I am also in this group and it was really rewarding to teach others their rights when encountering the police. I was also educated and enjoyed sharing my knowledge to keep others safe. Some wrote they thought it was educational and planned on spreading the word! #SUsocialwork twitter.com/k_fitzpatrick1…

@jaz_magdaleno This is really upsetting. This man is suffering from a disability and on top of that is being mistreated! Down syndrome requires a lot of care and I bet his needs are being neglected. This is not right and ridiculous. I hope this man gets the care he needs! #SUsocialwork

I was surprised to learn these statistics about partner violence. I didn’t know it was occurring so often and it is upsetting to learn. It would be beneficial to become educated on this social problem as the chances of knowing or experiencing this violence is high. #SUsocialwork twitter.com/nasw/status/98…

@vtisola I saw this the other day and can not describe the emotions I felt. I think it is wonderful and as a high status brand this will bring attention to this population. I cannot wait to see what other clothing lines follow this and to see this population feel accepted. #SUsocialwork

Friday last week I attended a campus conference. This event was educational and a great example of networking. My mind was opened to different perspectives and it was a surreal moment to realize how crucial understanding others is as we will be working with them. #SUsocialwork

@KayyClifton_ This frustrates me! It bothers me that we do not help those who are in need. It bothers me even more that all those in the world who are making millions of dollars are not using their money to help them. This problem could be solved if our world wasn’t so selfish. #SUsocialwork

Why is it that the government can not provide safe and adequate housing communities to those of a low economic status #susocialwork #sowk410

@KatherinebSUSW I love that we still celebrate him and I hope we always continue to show the world how important he is. He was incredible and changed the world. He taught people how to make change and how to be brave. We need to celebrate him in the past, now, and in the future. #SUsocialwork

On the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s death, it is exciting to see that his legacy lives on and people are still gathering to advocate for change towards his same goal. #ACT2EndRacism #SUsocialwork twitter.com/mboorstein/sta…

How can this women be fired from her job when she was expressing how she feels? She was not harmful or a threat or unprofessional. People every day stick their middle finger up during their own time, this is breaking her right to freedom of speech! Makes me so mad #SUsocialwork twitter.com/huffpostpol/st…

@KayyClifton_ This is crazy to me. To keep jails opened our world spends billions of dollars when if we would stop arresting people for minor crimes the jail population would decrease tremendously and the money could be spent otherwise. It is ridiculous how the system works. #SUsocialwork

@jaz_magdaleno It is so scary to realize how prevalent this problem is. I knew someone in the county this occurred and it is terrifying. I am scared for my cousins in school and every child. My high school security has increased since I graduated. It truly is so sad. #SUsocialwork

This past weekend I happened to be in D.C. at the same time the march was occurring. It was amazing to see so many people marching and was an indescribable feeling to see so many people advocating. We hear and learn about marches, but it was incredible to see it. #SUsocialwork

I think it is extremely important to share a famous singer posting about the gun violence protest today as she is a role model to several of people. These are the people who can make a big change as their voices are heard all over the world. Today we stand together. #SUsocialwork twitter.com/katyperry/stat…

On the one-month anniversary of the Parkland school shooting, students are walking out in protest of Congress’ failure to act on gun violence. Let’s support them, and the March to Washington DC in ten days👊🏻 #MarchForOurLives

@vkrisa96 I have never seen this and it is amazing. As walking out is an important protest, this is another issue that needs to be resolved. Bullying is so high in school people could really benefit in so many ways from others walking up and welcoming them. Love this idea! #SUsocialwork

@K_Fitzpatrick1 Self care is crucial to social workers being able to provide effective care. My friend has a project where everyone in the class creates different self care ideas such as a bath bomb and each student gets to test it out. I think it is an interesting and great idea! #SUsocialwork

@AkiaAwaters3 This post was extremely emotional. I will never understand why people use disrespectful words. My friends know I hate that word and I comment when I hear anyone say it. It’s ridiculous people will use these words to hurt someone. Our world needs to do and be better. #SUsocialwork

@K_Fitzpatrick1 This post was amazing. Society does label those who are different and it is so upsetting to see people hide who they truly are. Bullying is a huge problem right now that doesn’t seem to be addressed. This person was so strong and I’m so happy he used his voice! #SUsocialwork

This post is extremely powerful. We continuously deal with race and poverty. More needs to be done to solve these issues. Congress can make a change and it is important we understand what they can do to help to allow our nation to come together instead of divided. #SUsocialwork twitter.com/repdonaldpayne…
Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr.@RepDonaldPayne

People who cannot vote cannot lead. #Kerner50 urged the nation to address race and poverty, too much remains the same. What can #Congress do to close the race-poverty gap? Here are some ideas...

@shania_friend I agree that giving teachers guns is not the answer. This is encouraging people to shoot instead of solving the real problem at hand, mental health. It’s unfortunate people feel unsafe, but a gun will only make killings incline. Mental health has to be improved. #SUsocialwork

@KatherinebSUSW This is amazing! Sometimes in our career we see all the negative and miss the positivities. This is a great idea and a social problem that needs more services. This is great to hear people are taking a huge step to begin ending such a devastating social problem. #SUsocialwork
