Grooming gangs covered up, Ramadan excesses covered up, now it is Halal slaughter in the street covered up. "My sister was a teacher at a Church of England school in the north which 20 years ago had only two non Muslim children. "Their children used to get really excited about chasing the sheep their family had bought for Eid, & would in graphic detail outline how they were allowed to play with kitchen knives to see if they could catch & stab the sheep as it ran around their garden. "One of her Muslim TAs lived up north & said it was easier for her friends because they lived in a cul-de-sac so it was a game to enjoy as the animals couldn't escape, but that clearing up the blood afterwards was a bit irritating. "My sister reported this to local council who did nothing as it was deemed too culturally sensitive."

As a ex palliative care professional. It’s not alway possible to manage physical & spiritual pain. People should have the choice, and I’ve seen many begging for it to end. Witnessing a bad death will never leave your loved ones. (Trust me I know, it happened to my mum)

@DrCalumMiller Ex Hospice professional here. Absolute rubbish, people can/do still suffer & die in pain. Depends on resources in the community, knowledge in nursing homes and bed capacity within the inpatient hospices.

I am a medical doctor in the UK We already have assisted dying: it js called palliative care What they are trying to introduce is assisted SUICIDE This is fundamentally at odds with the medical profession.
