We were delighted to receive funds from Turquoise Aventures who have supported us for 19 years! The €2500 cheque was presented by Chairwoman of Turquoise Aventures, Maryvonne Buckenmeyer. This vital donation will fund school meals for the local children in Antafiabe village.

Thank you to all our members, partners & followers for their support this year & to wish everyone a safe, healthy & happy 2021. We look forward with positivity towards the new year, where we will continue to support lemurs, their habitats and the local Madagascan communities.

The AEECL annual firebreak creation took place between the 19th & 21st August. We welcomed two new villages to the event & 860 people took part creating 7km of firebreak. These breaks are vital to prevent fire spreading which can be devastating for the forests & a danger to life.

At the beginning of August the AEECL organised a school meal event and some fun activities for local villages. Building stronger links with our local communities to help facilitate conservation efforts. #lovelemurs

AEECL Programme Director, Guy Randriatahina, took part in an @IUCNRedList Workshop in May, in Antananarivo, Madagascar. They discussed all 112 lemur species, their current status and started creating action plans for each species.
