Bad faith. Even in the early 2000s no one approached me cruely when they gave me advice on how to improve my writing(and by proxy my storytelling). They always saw something great about my stories and sought to help me reach greater heights. We should stop seeing it as an attack

people give general writing advice all the time. i see graphics explaining shapes, colour theory, and shadows literally all the time
and no one’s advocating for criticizing specific people in their comment sections. people are just offering basic grammar advice
