I do miss having Russian teams in European competitions. National Team normally a sufficient standard to reach World Cups and EUROs.
Always fun having the presence of a Zenit, CSKA, Lokomotiv or Spartak in the early stages. Normally wouldn't get very far, but always a banana skin for those making the long trip over.
You would think that someday, they will return. Be intriguing to see just what shape the Russian's league in by then and where it sits on the European ladder...

The simple answer to coefficient concerns is that if you want to stop an NPL side being in the ACL2, then A-Liga clubs should git gud and not let them make the final of the Australia Cup.
Perhaps they could start by scoring a goal against them in the R16, QF, or SF.
