Ruth is a data communications and networking professional advancing resilient, community-driven connectivity in underserved and informal communities. As Network Lead Engineer at Tanda Community Network and a Technical Trainer with the Internet Society Foundation, she equips learners across Africa with practical skills to design, deploy, and sustain community networks. She is also an Internet Society Early Career Fellow (2025) and leads the Roots of Connectivity Initiative, supporting community-led digital skills development and local ownership of internet infrastructure across Central Kenya. Her work spans wireless deployment, digital literacy training, and strengthening inclusive participation in the digital ecosystem, especially for women in technology.
