@Oddernod Most designers aren't aware of this 'tool' perhaps? Also if the illustration style is too minimalistic (the eyes are two tiny blobs) there isn't much of an expression on the character's face to go close up on. I've used it successfully quite a bit though and agree with your point

Wide shots? Occasionally. Medium shots - all the time. But a big, long closeup on a character that allows for the audience to see themselves reflected in the acting of the character? Almost non-existent. Again. Why?

@ThisisDavina I had my first one fitted in my 20s & was told to just take some paracetamol. It really hurt during & after. Second one in my 40s my GP referred me to a hospital where they offered full anaesthetic, I was under the entire time. I also needed a biopsy done. Maybe that was my luck.

Please ask for pain relief at the time of booking your NHS appointment. Last year there was a directive the every woman should be asked if she’d like it . This takes time to filter thru . So do ask . It made a big diff to me .
