The West Wing has some of the best writing I can remember across TV or film. It’s now kinda in vogue to act like Aaron Sorkin isn’t a truly gifted writer. I’m not Sorkin’s biggest fan by any means but when it comes to this show? Yes, it’s worth the hype & then some. Prestige TV.

The Green Book didn’t deserve to win Best Picture. I’m not going to call this a bad movie nor am I going to say anything negative about Viggo Mortensen & Mahershala Ali- I just don’t think this movie was good enough to win the Oscar. A Star is Born or Black Panther deserved it.

Gene Hackman’s Oscar-nominated performance in Mississippi Burning is partly how I’ll remember Hackman. There are parts of this performance where Hackman embodies what it means to be a “tough guy” in a way that feels totally real. He’s a menacing brute for nearly two hours.
