On June 5, 2026, Burundi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Édouard Bizimana, visited the agriculture ministry warehouses in Ngagara, Ntahangwa Commune. The inspection focused on a rice donation of 2,053 tons provided by the Government of Japan.
According to the Minister, the rice will be sold on the local market. The revenue will be added to an existing account of approximately 78 billion Burundian francs to support future development projects agreed between the two countries.
Proposed projects include the construction of harvest storage warehouses, though no final agreement has been reached yet. Japan, for its part, is advocating for the rehabilitation and widening of the road named after it, which has deteriorated due to rising waters of Lake Tanganyika.
This donation forms part of ongoing international cooperation between Japan and Burundi. It raises questions about how the funds will ultimately be allocated between immediate needs and long-term infrastructure priorities.
The situation reflects broader challenges in Burundi, including food security, post-harvest losses, and infrastructure damage from environmental factors like Lake Tanganyika’s water levels.
What do you think should be the priority for these funds — storage warehouses, road repairs, or other development needs? Share your views below 👇

Fans in Ghana are furious with the #PerfectMatchXtra producers for lack of professionalism. Bringing in new housemates who already knew the popularity and strengths of the original contestants turned real connections into a calculated strategy game.
Priscary is at the receiving end of all this pain. From the beginning, her feelings for Pappy appeared completely genuine and heartfelt. But post-show tensions are exploding, and many believe the whole thing was planned from the start for maximum drama.
Critics argue the twist gave some players an unfair advantage — allowing them to play for selfish interests instead of authentic love. As a result, real emotions like Priscary’s are being shattered while the production chases ratings.
Even though they won Season 4 together, the couple is now facing public arguments and backlash. Priscary’s sincere heart seems to be suffering the most. Many Ghanaians are calling for better casting and transparency from the producers.
This highlights the darker side of reality TV in Ghana. What starts as entertainment can leave real people emotionally broken. Fans demand more fairness so future seasons don’t repeat these painful mistakes.
Ghana, what’s your honest take? Should the #PerfectMatchXtra producers be held accountable for these unbalanced twists? Or is this just how reality TV works? Drop your thoughts 👇 RT if you stand with Priscary! 💔 #PMXtraS4 #GhanaEntertainment #AfricanInstinct

Notice this pattern: Fierce criticism rains on Malala Yousafzai and Marjane Satrapi from certain leftist circles. Two brave brown women who survived extremism and dared speak truth about women’s oppression in Pakistan & Iran. Why the hate? 👀
Malala, shot in the head by Taliban at 15 for demanding girls go to school. Nobel winner, global advocate. Yet labeled ‘Western puppet’ or CIA tool by some ‘anti-imperialists’ living safely in the West. Her crime? Refusing silence on Taliban bans – now 1,700+ days for Afghan girls.
Marjane Satrapi, through Persepolis, exposed life under Iran’s theocratic revolution: veils, repression, lost freedoms. Her graphic novel hit hard globally. Critics now call it ‘Orientalist’ or anti-Muslim for showing uncomfortable realities. Real women lived it.
The irony cuts deep. These women aren’t rejecting their cultures – they’re fighting the reactionary forces crushing half their societies: banned education, morality police, shrinking public life. Standing up for basic rights shouldn’t make you a traitor.
Meanwhile, comfortable Western voices defend or downplay these regimes as ‘resistance’ to the West. Loyalty seems to flow to anti-Western men in power, not the girls denied books, the women arrested for showing faces, or mothers risking lives in childbirth without care.
Why it stings for ordinary people: Millions of Afghan & Iranian families see daughters’ futures stolen. Malala and Satrapi give voice to that pain. Dismissing them as ‘privileged’ or ‘tools’ ignores the courage it takes to speak when bullets fly.
Key reality: Universal women’s rights aren’t Western imports. Education saves lives everywhere. UN reports, HRW, and survivors confirm the crises – gender apartheid, child marriages, healthcare barriers. Heroes like Malala force the world to look.
True solidarity means backing women who risk everything for freedom, not excusing oppressors for geopolitical points. What does real support for global women’s rights look like to you? Reply below. RT if you stand with brave voices!

@_nokus Not a full thread, just a quick update to spark discussion. But that’s a good idea, we may do a deeper breakdown of Guinea’s political transition soon.
English

@RCB_4Bihar Agreed. Healthy skepticism is important. The results are provisional, and we’ll continue following official updates as the situation develops. What indicators will you be watching most closely?
English

@africaninstinct Big claims like this always need verified sources before drawing conclusions. 🧵👀 Let’s see what official updates confirm about the situation in Guinea.
