The Rise of Skywalker is still the biggest narrative failure in this franchise, but goddamn, that movie actually felt like an event. It had scale (sometimes to a stupid degree), it had colour (mostly blue) and it had planets that felt otherworldly. They weren't good, but there were character arcs in it and despite the "Somehow Palpatine returned plot", it was not entirely without stakes.
I absolutely hate TROS, but I can appreciate that they at least tried. It has the components of a movie. The Mandalorian and Grogu simply does not feel like a real film.

The worst thing that happened to Star Wars after THE LAST JEDI was that Disney panicked about the polarizing audience reaction and backed away from pursuing anything substantial or meaningful, instead settling for easy nostalgic muck and safe stories like THE MANDALORIAN.

El final de la segunda temporada es MALISIMO. A la gente solo le gustó por la nostalgia pero argumentalmente y en su totalidad como capitulo es un horror. Realmente una lástima lo que hicieron con esta serie

The decline of Favreau and Filoni’s corner of Star Wars has been surreal to watch. It technically started with S2 of The Mandalorian, but no one noticed over the cameo fest. Every story since, from Book of Boba Fett onward, has been a creative clusterfuck.
