@GergelyOrosz Antivirus runs at ring 0 of the OS, pretty much at kernel level. Microsoft essentially treats it as a driver. Comparatively less isolation from MacOS, which runs third party AV at ring 3 (user level). If it breaks, it doesn’t take down the system.
