I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a takeout order from your Roseville, CA location (Store #7331 – Westfield Galleria) on November 22nd. My $108 order (crab cakes, Caesar salad, spicy shrimp, and sweet potato soufflé) arrived cold and well below the quality expected from Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
I placed the order by phone and waited approximately 45 minutes, believing it would be ready upon arrival. I called immediately to report the issue and left multiple voicemails over the weekend and again on Monday, yet no one returned my calls.
When I later spoke with the manager on duty, Eric, I requested his last name for documentation purposes. He stated that he was “the only Eric” at the location and refused to provide his last name. Despite explaining that I took immediate action after the incident, he offered no apology, no review of phone records, and no effort to resolve the issue, stating there was nothing he could do. The only option presented was for me to spend more money.
I have worked in corporate environments and would never allow a customer to leave feeling ignored or unvalued. At minimum, I expected a courtesy callback and a good-faith attempt to address the situation.
I hope Ruth’s Chris Steak House will take accountability for this experience and address the lack of empathy and service demonstrated by the management at Store #7331 in Roseville, CA.
