I love @AMIAinformatics conferences for the great talks and workshops…but my favorite part happens after hours over food and drink…this is what I have missed most during the pandemic…

Kudos to Texas Children's Hospital pitching in and taking adult patients because as all pediatric caregivers know adults are just big kids.....

My husband and I fought about Christmas trees for years. Now we’re getting divorced, and my Jewish boys will have one each year (every other weekend). My essay on my struggle to come to terms with this: nytimes.com/2019/12/24/opi…

Next week we all should remember to change the batteries on our smoke detectors - equally important today is getting unused prescription meds especially controlled substances out of the house lnkd.in/eizmbSY

Clearly deep in thought on the excellent points made by the panel. So great to participate in the Second Stanford Medicine health IT meeting.

I travel a lot - but not enough to get upgraded:( On yet another flight to DC. But my dog Shad just got upgraded to a suite at his boarding facility. Apparently he's the dog equivalent of a million miler at the Wag Hotel. Getting over my pangs of guilt and hoping he enjoys it.

As a teenager, 50 years ago today I watched the lunar landing live from LaRochelle, France. I remember the sense of awe in the room paralleled by a sense of international unity - one world. A future hope still....

Pensive this month: yellow carded by WMATA which isn't bad and successfully navigated the CMS sign-up process which was surprisingly complex and I thought I was on top of this!

“Time To Stop Labeling Physicians As Providers.” ⁦@ACPinternists⁩ no longer uses “provider” to describe physicians in its communications, except if citing others (then we put it in quotes). We say physician, doctor, or clinicians (to include nurses) forbes.com/sites/brucelee…
