Even worse, in said manga - "Attack on Titan" - the character saying that line (Eren Yeager: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eren_Yeag…) ends up dying while attempting to kill all of humanity outside his island nation ("Paradis Island"). Not exactly a great character to emulate when you're Japan - an island nation with a long history of imperial expansion and atrocities. Very awkward and disturbing on multiple levels...
