I've worked on the tech and platform side of the online dating space for a *long* time and this is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen In that field.
It might actually work financially for her from an app's business point of view, but it's not about online dating. It's blurring the lines between dating and hiring an escort - fine if you want to do that, but in my opinion a sad sign of a broken dating ecosystem.
And maybe that's a symptom of high-gloss NYC or LA dating, IDK - but I can't see any of my (mostly totally normal) friends paying a date preparation deposit to a chick.
Each to their own, I guess.

My industry has lost it's mind, AI psychosis is rampant. Thankfully, I've seen this mind virus before during the OOP-all-the-things back in the 90's/2000's. Despite the marketing, grifters, & cargo culters, a lot of great practices came about by riding IN the wave. Same now.

3. It demonstrates how incompetent every single politician who fell for that campaign is.
German ministers, spy agency folks, the federal parliament's president, members of parliament and more.
Every single person who got caught by this should be instantly kicked out of office.
Because if you fall for *this*, you can't be trusted to make any decision for a whole country. My 80+ years old mother would not fall for this. 🙄

Social media graphics for @cf_camp used to take us ages to do manually.
This year I'm automating them with an agent I built on @autohiveai, the agentic AI platform I work on as part of the Autohive team.
Essentially I've created an agent (totally no-code) that will produce social media graphics for talks and/or speakers and suggestions for accompanying posts on demand.
The output of the agent is content for LinkedIn, Twitter/X and Bluesky and follows common guidelines and expectations for the respective platforms.
It can either scrape our conference website or deal with the internal master data sheets (Google Sheet or .csv file) as a basis for the information. It can also go out to the web and do further research on the topic or the speaker, if required.
Dog-fooding a product you work on from a user's and customer's point is always interesting. And as it happens, I ran into two small quirks. One we already knew about on the engineering side and the second one was a small UI issue I noticed and that we might fix in a future iteration 😀.
