Since @harleyf and @Shopify announced the rollout of chatGPT integration - we're seeing agentic attributed revenue growth across the board.
For example the last 90 days of a high-end fashion we work with :
+ 2,794 Agent referred sessions
+ 150 attributed orders
+ $15,138 in attributed revenue
+ 5.9% conversion rate
This represents a 257% growth in attributed revenue vs. previous period

AI-first flips this: just ask for what you need.
We’re starting with a middle path:

Still beta (opt-in), with ability to switch back.
Ultimately, users decide what sticks.

notice something? Linear, PostHog, Attio - all shipped the same thing in the last few weeks. Homepage is a chat bar - not a dashboard. This is the SaaS industry quietly admitting that traditional UI doesn't work anymore. Every user is different. One homepage can't serve them all. The playbook is shifting: → expose your core APIs → connect an agentic layer → let users use software the way they want SaaS became chat. Chat will become Generative UI - the agent won't just reply in text, it will compose the interface itself. We're closer than people think.

Curious if you're tracking the keywords/prompts people are using to find the store, and if they are the same or different from how people found you through traditional search?

ChatGPT referrals to our client Shopify stores were virtually nonexistent in March 2025. By December, one store hit 2,183 sessions from ChatGPT with 140 orders. That's a 6.4% conversion rate, roughly 3x the typical Shopify average. These are high-intent visitors. And this was _before_ the new integration went live.

we made improvements to the @dodopayments checkout.
skeleton loading so customers see something instantly instead of staring at a blank screen. cancel URL support so if someone changes their mind they can exit cleanly instead of closing the tab and wondering if something got charged.
also added back button navigation. sounds basic but most checkout flows trap you in a forward-only tunnel. now customers can go back, change things, move through steps naturally.
small details. massive impact on conversion.

New day, new @Shopify agentic-commerce feature.
We’ve been saying AI metadata matters, and now it has its own dedicated metafields.
These can be mapped through Shopify’s product listing setup directly to @ChatGPTapp and @GeminiApp to help improve product selection rates.

One important note on building capabilities to extend Google UCP that I think people miss is the intersection algorithm.
While anyone can add a capability, the intersection algorithm will prune anything that is not ALSO a platform capability.
