We just opened openmodels.market. The idea came from a simple frustration: LLM pricing is visible, but LLM supply is often not. You can see a model name. You can see a token price. You can call an API. But a lot of the time, you still don’t really know where the supply comes from, whether the route is verified, or what happens when that route becomes unstable. That feels wrong. If tokens are becoming one of the basic inputs for AI software, the market around those tokens should be easier to inspect. So we’re building OpenModels as an open market for LLM tokens. Developers get: - verified model supply - transparent input/output pricing - visible provider routes - prepaid credits - one OpenAI-compatible API - no opaque proxy chains This is not meant to be another model API wrapper. The bigger goal is to make LLM token supply more open, more comparable, and easier to trust. Agents make this even more obvious. Once you have planning, memory reads, tool calls, retries, eval loops, and long context, token cost and route trust become infrastructure problems. That’s where we think the market is going.
