A&M (#7) does not make the playoffs if it never expanded to 12 teams. Texas finished #3 both times in the final CFP rankings.

@SheetsG23 You don’t replace Ohio state with Portland state, Indiana state, etc. you have to replace it with a P4 school or ND. And sure you can say Rutgers or BC, and y’all likely win those, but that’s a step above Indiana state and step or 2 below Ohio state.

The Florida loss is not good. I understand the argument,but I want this to be VERY CLEAR. No matter the Florida result 10-2 Texas that beats Portland St., Montana St., Indiana St., or Ark-Pine Bluff. Playoff team. 9-3 Texas that loses to Ohio State. Not a playoff team.

@BobbyBurtonOTF You lost to 4-8 Florida combined with 3 losses. I think if you swap out the Florida loss to say A&M, you have losses to 1/3/4, then y’all would be in. It’s the loss to a 4-8 team combined with the quantity of losses, not just the 3 losses itself that y’all are out

For those looking at comparative opponents, how do you square A&M’s 1-point win on the road against Notre Dame and Texas’ 10-point win over the Aggies? Using common opponents, Texas should be ranked ahead of Notre Dame. Not to mention Texas has three ranked wins over top 12s.
