Good morning, Arlington! Students at @JonesAcademy1 got a surprise when Dr. Matt Smith, Arlington ISD’s new superintendent, greeted them at the door to their school. It's Dr. Smith's #FirstDay so, he'll visit several schools throughout our district meeting students and staff.

Arlington ISD families: Schools and offices will be closed on Nov. 7 for a student holiday and staff exchange day. *Early college high schools will have classes as scheduled on this date. For a list of important dates, visit our calendars page at: aisd.net/district/about….

Last week we had our annual inference investigation. These detectives were tasked to uncovered which Jones staff member stole our playground. We looked at a newspaper article, items left at the scene, a riddle, and security footage. @JonesAcademy1
