@Crimsix It’s not 1/72,224. It’s 148/72,224 or 0.2%. It is 1/72,224 if you were to ask the chance you get hotel room 5 at both places. However, in this case there are 148 combinations that would put you in the same room number out of the total 72,224 combinations so it’s 148/72224.
I went to California last week, and I had back to back hotel room numbers that were exactly the same. Different hotels, different cities. One hotel had 488 rooms, one had 148 rooms.
What is the correct answer on the chances of this happening? Help because I’m mind fucking myself over this.
