@adamboxer1 I have it on good authority that children enjoy your lessons and that you probably at least consider that is important. So it is not mutually exclusive from good teaching strategies. Though I imagine and fear edutainment is being suggested.

@adamboxer1 @ejsearle I learned this some yrs before at another school,inherited a group with clever but lazy and disruptive boys. Held them back and had "a chat" Next lesson in a stage whisper one said "Come on we are supposed to be friends now with sir so we have to behave!!" The kids know

@adamboxer1 I once inherited a group where the previous teacher had "managed the group well" when I asked how he said, it took 6 months, loads of kahoot quizzes and chocolate. Nightmare!!!

Attempting to fix behaviour by getting kids to like you is A. Not limited to younger teachers B. Logical sounding on the face of it C. Even more logical sounding given the consistency of "relationships are crucial to good behaviour" messaging D. Actually a waste of time

As I know he is still on here I just wanted to thank @IMcMillan once again for his funny but thought provoking poetry. Came across this book in a charity shop. It is definitely not just for children. Destiny Girls and Visiting Grandad were almost too much for me.

We’ve been in Ripon today. They are posh round here, the pot of sauce sachets came with a little pair of scissors to snip the ends off. And it was super posh as they weren’t tied to the table with a string

Good evening sorry to bother you. @cinspkevinsmith We had a club member pushed off their bike on Sunday by a passenger in a car. Two cyclists down one needed to go to hospital. It has been reported, what is going to be the best way to keep a track on what is happening with this?
