Yesterday was my last day @ncpublicschools. I enjoyed my time as policy advisor for @CTruittEdu and appreciated the chance to get a closer look under the hood of #nced. Thanks for the opportunity. I wish @MoGreenNCDPI the best in his new role. The next adventure begins Tuesday.

Lemme cut to the chase: stop lying to the public, Alex. Truitt’s office has NOT taken immediate action to suspend teachers under investigation for child sex crimes. At times, there have even been multiple sex offenders on NC’s list of certified teachers. It’s part of the reason your boss lost her job. Surprised you didn’t know that.

North Carolina teacher accused of doing the unthinkable to a boy. This is happening on a weekly basis, it seems. NC allows teachers to retain their licenses while out on bail. This teacher, and others like him, need to immediately lose their licenses. #nced #ncpol

@SloanRachmuth Teachers out on bail are not working in schools. The school is permitted to keep them off school grounds and even dismiss them. But of course, the truth doesn’t make as good of a sound bite, does it? I imagine that’s what we have to look forward to if you and your candidate win.

@SloanRachmuth Once DPI learns of something like this happening its legal team automatically issues a summary suspension of the license, which the State Superintendent signs. The license can’t be revoked because of due process rights granted by the constitution of the United States.

Today is @theNCForum Eggs and Issues. Yet again @MicheleMorrowNC was invited, and yet again she didn’t show up. If she did, everybody would see how little she understands #nced. She sent a campaign van, however. It’s a preview of what the state will get if she wins.
