In Pakistan one in 10 households do not have water, soap for practicing hand hygiene. For better hand hygiene across Pakistan, AHKF conducts regular health and hand hygiene sessions with women's Mohalla groups and is working with RWMC to improve water access for the community.

Congratulations, Amna and Hafsa on graduating the AKHF Internship Program! In 6 months, they supported 101 women's mental health at the Rawan Desk, Dhoke Hassu, Rawalpindi. Both showed remarkable growth and commitment and we wish them the best of luck going forward!

On April 23rd, AHKF conducted a training session on financial literacy for female entrepreneurs. The session was supported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). 27 female entrepreneurs have successfully been equipped with tools that will ensure sustainable financial empowerment.

On April 23rd, AHKF signed an MoU with the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD). This MoU marks the beginning of a collaborative partnership that will further drive development initiatives in the Dhok Hassu area of Rawalpindi.

On Earth Day 2024, AHKF's program students and coordinators took an environment walk up to Railway Colony. From making Earth Day pledge cards to chanting slogans, they showed us that the future of our planet is definitely in good hands.

Our Aapis go directly into homes, where they share vital knowledge on child/maternal health, family planning, safe deliveries, etc. This eliminates the need for costly clinic visits. Development solutions must be affordable so all can access healthcare without financial burden.

True development empowers communities to become self-reliant. At AHKF, we strive to create affordable initiatives that can be sustained long-term. By prioritizing cost-effectiveness, we ensure our impact goes beyond temporary aid.

Our local Cluster Leads select volunteer Aapis based on their deep understanding of community nuances. Development solutions must originate from a community's expressed needs and be undertaken collaboratively with those who understand the context best.

On March 21, the PPIF-II Govt. of Punjab Monitoring and Evaluation team visited 4 points in Gujjar Khan and Girja and conducted interviews and surveys of medical equipment. 3 new clients were referred to RAWAN, AHKF's health community support program for urban populations.

On 21 March, community members including AHK-F staff, Aapis, and volunteer activists planted trees at the newly inaugurated ladies' park in Dhok Hassu. What was once a barren, urban space will soon be transformed into a vibrant, green one.

One of the fundamentals of our ongoing project with PPIF is our field workers (Aapis) going door to door in order to register MWRAs (Married Women of Reproductive Age). By the conclusion of the project in December 2024, we aim to register 83,000 MWRAs. #AHKF #PPIF

On International Women’s Day, the AHK-F team inaugurated a women’s park in Dhok Hassu, Rawalpindi. AHK-F continues to inspire inclusion wherever they go, especially among communities in rural uncovered areas.
