Whenever I see trolls deliberately stirring up mess in the fandom, I genuinely wonder what they get out of it. Is it the thrill of picking fights? The attention when someone finally gives them a reaction? A temporary sense of importance they're not getting elsewhere? Well... Whatever it is... imagine having that much time and choosing to spend it being hateful to strangers online. At some point, they have to ask themselves why negativity is the only way they know how to feel seen. Maybe log off and find something that actually makes you happy? A hobby, some friends, a little self reflection? Anything, really. Alam niyo na kung sino kayo.

Of course I’ve thought about how the artists feel. But caring about them doesn’t mean I owe them unlimited support. You choose to support unconditionally? Fine. That’s your choice. But hanggang saan ba ang “unconditional”? Kung sabihin sayo benta mo kidney mo para masuportahan mo wholeheartedly itong CB, gagawin mo? If hindi, edi your support is not unconditional either. We all have limits.

The truth is, many of the people who chose not to support this comeback as intensely as before are the same people who helped AHOF achieve those trophies, high streams, strong album sales, and massive engagement in the first place. They showed up, spent their money, gave their time, voted, streamed, and promoted because supporting AHOF made them happy. But after repeatedly feeling unheard by the company, some simply decided to step back. That doesn’t mean they completely withdrew their support or wanted AHOF to fail. They just became more selective about where they put their time, money, and energy, and chose to support in ways that still made them happy. And I really can’t blame them for that. What makes it worse is seeing these same fans being villainized or guilt-tripped for not doing “enough,” as if supporting a comeback is an obligation. Fans are still consumers. No one is required to spend money, stream endlessly, vote, or promote something that no longer brings them the same joy, especially when they feel their concerns are continuously being ignored. Support given freely is support. It shouldn’t have to come from guilt, pressure, or fear of being labeled a bad fan. People are allowed to love AHOF and still be disappointed with the company. They’re allowed to support the members while choosing not to support every decision made for them. Of course, those who direct their anger toward the members, hate on them, or deliberately try to hurt them are not in the right either. But they shouldn’t be lumped together with fans who genuinely care about AHOF and are pushing the company to do better for them. Criticizing the way a company manages, promotes, or distributes opportunities among its artists is not the same as hating the artists themselves. If anything, many of these fans are speaking up because they care deeply about the group and want every member to be given the opportunity to shine.

Actually, I get your point. You want to support them unconditionally, and that’s your choice. But you can’t police other people into doing the same. You can encourage them, sure, but you don’t get to villainize them just because their way of supporting is different from yours. Disappointed ka kasi feeling mo the group deserves everyone’s full support, full stop? That's valid. But your disappointment doesn’t make other fans wrong for choosing to set boundaries on what they’re willing to give. And “I don’t give a damn about the company"? The company that literally manages their careers? You don’t have to care about the company itself, but hindi mo sila pwede iremove from the equation when sila mismo ang gumagawa ng decisions that directly affect the very group you support.

All I know is this fandom will never know peace if everyone keeps watching and judging how everyone else chooses to support. Just be grateful for whatever support people are willing to give and let them spend their money, time, and effort wherever the hell they want. 😭

Support is almost always conditional in some way. Saying “support shouldn’t be conditional” implies that once you’re a fan, you owe continuous support regardless of how you feel, and hindi siya reasonable expectation. And ano ba yung “many other ways” na guaranteed makikinig ang company without affecting anything? Because realistically, every form of protest has some kind of effect, diba? Fans have already been vocal, raised concerns, trended hashtags, sent emails. At what point are fans allowed to decide for themselves when and how they want to support? And hindi rin fair to frame reduced support as fans deliberately trying to “make the members pay the price.” Choosing to step back from supporting a CB isn’t the same as intentionally wanting the members to suffer. Of course the members worked hard. Wala namang sinasabi na hindi, diba? You can appreciate how hard the members worked while still choosing how much support you personally want to give. Alam mo, you can believe reducing support hurts the members more than it helps them. That is your opinion and that’s a perfectly valid reason for YOU not to participate in any boycott. But why does that give anyone the right to tell someone else their support must be unconditional? Parang, where does that logic end? Are fans expected to support every song even if they don’t like it? Buy every album even if they can’t afford it? Stream endlessly even when they’re no longer enjoying themselves? Accept every decision a company makes because otherwise the members might “pay the price”?

I get the difference, but let’s not pretend the blame is only being thrown at those specific people because that’s really not what I’m seeing 😅 Both sides are generalizing. It’s always “those solo stans,” “those boycotters,” “those OT9s,” etc. People who simply stepped back have also been accused of failing or abandoning the members. If someone actually celebrated AHOF losing or actively tried to sabotage something, then call that specific person out. But one person doing that doesn’t represent every solo stan or everyone who boycotted, just like one toxic OT9 doesn’t represent all OT9s. That’s my whole point. Stop lumping everyone together and address people based on what they actually did.

Maybe some people said things in the heat of the moment, but that’s different from actually doing them. If there are screenshots of specific people reporting accounts or encouraging votes for other groups, then address those people. TBH, I think the fandom tends to see everything in b&w. I think there also needs to be some realization about why people are actually mad. Is it because the support isn’t as strong as before? If so, why does that make anyone angry? Fans aren’t beholden to give the same level of support forever just because they supported before. Parang supporting a restaurant you love. You can eat there every week, recommend it to everyone, bring people in, spend a lot of money there diba, but that doesn’t mean you’re obligated to keep going if one day hindi ka na happy with what they’re serving. Same with being a fan. Syempre, you can disagree with someone’s reason for pulling back, but if they decide to only repost one member’s videos, donate to only a solo/duo/trio fanbase, or only talk about the members they like, is that really a problem? Casual fans do the same thing. Some don’t vote at all, they don’t make freebies, or even donate to fanbases. I have casual kpop fan friends who stream an MV once and that’s it, and no one has a problem with that. So what makes it different now? Is it only a problem because these people used to give more, and now the fandom feels entitled to the same level of support from them?

But aren’t a lot of those just hearsay? There needs to be actual proof before accusing people of doing those things. And even if some people did, why lump them together with everyone else? If specific people did something wrong, then call those people out. No need to generalize a whole group.

@ahofcorner & we're grateful abt that, ang nilalaban lang naman ng ibang foha eh yung mga nag report sa main accs ng nag support this cb, yung mga nag pakalat ng boycott and nang eenganyo na mag vote sa ibang group. dun nag start yung negativity.

Well, the CB is exactly when withholding support would actually send a message to the company. A boycott that has zero impact isn’t really a boycott, right? And honestly, I think the division started long before the boycott even happened, when people started policing how others choose to support and acting like there’s only one right way to be a fan. 🤷🏻♀️

My point has always been about the timing.
A fancon & CB aren't the same. CB is the center of a group's promotions. It's the period they've spent months preparing for, where they're actively promoting, performing, & hoping to reach more people.
My issue has always been the environment surrounding this comeback. The negativity, the division, and everything that came with it. Y'all, I don't think the members deserved to go through that after all the hard work they put into it.
You may see those situations as the same. I don't.

We are disappointed too. But there's a right time, a right way, & a right opportunity to send that message, not during a comeback.
Every K-pop fan knows how important a comeback is. It's months of preparation, endless practice, long hours, sore bodies, & so much hard work. We don't even know how exhausted they are behind the scenes or how much pressure they put on themselves, wondering if they're doing enough.
That's why we chose to support AHOF first. There are other ways to make the company listen without risking the very comeback the members poured their time, effort, & hearts into. Itatak nyu sa kukuti nyo yan...

As for the 🌟 solo community's choice on the boycott I see it as a safety net for JL's further role in the group. I'm sad but I can't fully blame them for their actions bcoz they are afraid of the pattern they saw on the way fnf handle things. 🍀🤞I hope it works.
