EHS-Alberta attended a Career Fair Extravaganza at the Lacombe Composite High School on February 26. Students were able to ask questions about various careers, including what it takes to become a paramedic. Thank you to all of the students who came to talk with us!

Remember, Alberta law requires motorists to slow down to 60 km/h, or the posted speed limit, whichever is lower, when passing emergency vehicles or other workers stopped with their flashing lights activated – this applies to the lane immediately next to the stopped vehicles.

Please slow down, be attentive and give first responders, tow truck operators, road service vehicles, snowplows, and other roadside workers’ adequate space to safely do their job.

EHS-Alberta, along with first responder and community partners, attended the annual Slow Down, Move Over roadside safety campaign held this evening on 16th Avenue in northeast Calgary.

For the 3rd consecutive year EHS staff in @medicinehatcity participated in the annual #MedicineHatPolarPlunge in support of @SpecialOlympics. Our team jumped into freezing water to raise an impressive $1790.00 to support our local communities Special Olympic athletes!

EHS – Alberta were excited to attend the @uLethbridge Winter Career Fair, “Southern Alberta’s Largest Hiring Event”. It was a fantastic opportunity to reach #ULethbridge students and guests and provide career information with Emergency Health Services – Alberta.

We had the honour of recognizing Donna for her quick thinking and courageous actions during a medical emergency involving her husband. Thank you, Donna, for your strength, preparedness, and selflessness. It was a privilege to present you with a Citizen Recognition Award!

Naz had the opportunity to reconnect with the paramedics who saved his life after he suffered a heart attack and cardiac arrest on October 29, 2025. Being able to see him healthy, smiling, and personally expressing his appreciation was a meaningful experience for all involved.

EHS-Alberta recently attended a career fair held at #MedicineHatCollege. It was a wonderful opportunity for practitioners to engage with prospective students regarding the profession of paramedicine. We also had the chance to demonstrate a few pieces of medical equipment.

Emergency Health Services is proud to recognize Steven, an Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) bus driver, with a Citizen Award for his quick thinking, selflessness, and willingness to step up when it mattered most. A true example of community leadership in action. Thank you, Steven!
