AIATMK - revolutionary gold hearted scion

Medha Patkar led the Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA), which began in the 1980s. The movement opposed Sardar Sarovar Dam. The movement lasted for more than 30 years. Narmada Bachao Andolan was included in school textbooks and Medha Patkar was hailed as a revolutionary. However, the Sardar Sarovar Dam has provided benefits to millions of people in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. It not only supplies drinking water to several villages and drought-prone areas but also supports irrigation for millions of hectares of farmland and has boosted farmers' incomes. It also supports regional power needs. Now, people are witnessing that the Narmada Bachao Andolan they studied in school was not an environmental revolution but an anti development campaign which played with their minds. She misled Indians for more than 30 years.

All opposition parties have attacked the Govt. Agencies, EVMs, Election Commission, Media & now targeting the Judiciary. They don't realise that they are attacking the core of Indian democracy. Wait, People of India will give them a befitting reply, teach lifetime lesson!

The English suffix -ham and the Sanskrit word grāma (village) are distantly related through their shared ancestor, Proto-Indo-European (PIE) Same for -ston and the Persian suffix -istan, Sanskrit sthan (स्थान) Also for -bury, a cognate to the Sanskrit -pur, -puri (eg Jaipur) 1/2

There is a pattern written across the map of England. “-ham” “-ton” “-bury” Names like Nottingham, Southampton, and Canterbury are not random. They are over a thousand years old. And they come from the Anglo-Saxons. “-ham” meant a homestead or village. It appears in names like Birmingham, Nottingham, and Durham. These were settled places, communities built to last. “-ton” meant a farm or enclosed settlement. Luton, Taunton, and Brighton all began as small agricultural communities. Places defined by land, work, and order. “-bury”, often evolved into “-borough” meant a fortified place. Canterbury, Salisbury, and Scarborough. These were defended settlements, often with walls or earthworks. Next time you pass a place ending in “-ham” or “-ton”, you’re looking at a name over 1,000 years old. You don’t need a history book to find Anglo-Saxon England. You just need a map. What does your local place name say about its past? Not only that, the South and Central Dravidian words for a wagon are derived from the Prakrit word for trade. Archaeologically we see cart use from 1000 BCE onwards (Early Iron Age) in South India, so it is highly evident that Prakrits existed as early as that time.
