A statement has been released by David Storch, preferred bidder at Sheffield Wednesday #SWFC Key points: They have been informed that a 15-point penalty is set to be imposed at the start of next season, despite submissions to the EFL making a case against it. Dejphon Chansiri has not agreed to write down or restructure the debt he is owed and repeated attempts to engage him, "have gone unanswered." "The full scale of the serious infrastructure challenges (at Sheff Wed) has become apparent." Club described as "in distress" in current form -- but Storch insists, "it remains our absolute intention to complete this transaction by 1 May." Storch says they have committed to immediately address the serious infrastructure issues, "on the basis that the EFL agree to a reasonable approach to the intended 15 point penalty to be applied next season." Calls on fans to make their voices heard.

Then proceeded to chuck good money after bad, including money he didn’t ultimately have. That doesn’t make him a bad person. Maybe a stupid one, but he’s lost significant sums of cash.

In his reign we have been deducted 24 points over 2 seasons. Soon to add another 15 due to his negligence.

@antnagle15 @arighttweet @EFL @HoCStandards Tell the prospective new owner that he doesn't have to give a penny to chansiri and it would probably be paid. Remaining debt to actual companies is 9m. 25p-£1 would have to pay 2.25m.
The big issue is the main creditor (wanting 15m) being the man who fucked us in first place.

@NPC14 @hirsty9 For total clarity. Unsecured debts are £69m ish. 25p to £1 means the new owner has to pay 17.25m to avoid -15. £15m is owed to chancer, the other 2.25m to the rest. I doubt the new owner would have a problem paying them. Its the 15m to the idiot that caused this thats the problem

4 total clarity efl are insisting that the man whose driven #swfc into the ground, not paid wages or debts, ignored safety certs and delivered numerous points penalties resulting in 2 relegations be paid more than club’s currently worth in order to avoid -15 pts. 45 in total.
