NEW: New footage shows what happened after Stardust Racers rider was killed on Epic Universe’s Stardust Racers roller-coaster last year
Investigative documents show the incident happened on the night of Sept. 17, when Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, 32, was found unresponsive on the ride
Zavala was pronounced dead at the hospital, but the medical examiner said he suffered “multiple blunt impact injuries.”
The report said Zavala appeared to have “severe facial trauma,” and witnesses reported a “significant amount of blood loss.”
First responders said Zavala was wheelchair-bound due to a preexisting spinal injury, meaning his legs didn’t work properly
Investigators said Zavala’s girlfriend of 10 years, Javiliz Cruz-Robles, told first responders what she’d seen before the ride started
Per Cruz-Robles, a Universal ride employee had pushed down on Zavala’s lap restraint several times, but he “flew forward,” hitting his head

“Splash was our ride and we were robbed of the opportunity to bring our children on it” Like dude it’s a theme park ride at Disney. Almost nothing lasts forever and TBA has been open for almost 2 years now.

Honestly it’s disheartening that the Disney Gen Xers and (some) millennials are the ones most often attacking Splash Mountain fans, calling us “racist boomers”, when the reality is that most of us are in our early to mid 20s. Whether it was Pirates, Mansion, or Space Mountain, most of them had the opportunity to take their kids on their special ride from their childhood. That’s really what Disney World is all about. Splash was our ride and we were robbed of the opportunity to take our future children on it to recreate this special memories. Putting all the BS aside, how greedy and selfish does one have to be to continuously belittle us for being upset about it?

@dean1004darin @joviacdan Truly does not matter. The average family visiting Disney World these days is almost guaranteed to know Tiana and almost guaranteed to never have heard of song of the south. It makes sense to make it modern off a modern property

@aidenb981 @joviacdan This movie didn’t turn a profit, never got a sequel, and was only pushed into the limelight when it was culturally required. Even progressive vlogs like the dis unanimously called it underwhelming.

@BrerOswald2 Pretty sure Splash is the one that’s over and got packed up 😂 I will say the ride does have its faults with animatronics/show problems however outside the online theme park community you’ll see that guests love the ride

Kids these days know and love Tiana, shes a literal Disney Princess and is way more recognizable than song of the south and thats just a fact. Yeah Splash was memorable but Tianas will be way more than that for kids and families these days
