Honestly I have lost all hope from the Govt(and it is the same for all parties). Private employees are on their own in our country. In my opinion, one should always have multiple income streams, especially in the service industry ! I strongly believe that one needs to start multiple side hustles very early in their career & build them large with time. This can be a very effective way to to avoid the looming risk of job insecurity and probably live a slightly better life in a premium gated society ! I ventured in the field of trading around 4-5 yrs back & have now been consistently profitable by trading positional Nifty options from last 3+ years. What started as a side hustle, has now become a significant income source for me. Trading worked for me, but it could be anything else for others. But the bottomline is that, multiple income sources are very crucial in today's world !

Life of 35-year-old taxpayer > have private job > paying taxes > monthly EMIs > paying tolls for pothole roads > spending lakhs on kids’ schooling > breathing 500+ AQI air & eating fake paneer > gets fired one day Not one government helpline number where you can call for help.

It means your LinkedIn profile is well optimized. HRs have LinkedIn Premium and can share this message by replacing your name and sending it to hundreds of people by sorting profiles, location, and keywords. I receive such emails every day, but unless it's a personal DM, I don't open it. It's just for their leads. But yes, they might pick you from the pool of other candidates.

@aiglelevant If I am not wrong then people do masters in the field they are interested. So there's no point of choosing any other field if you're going for masters.

If your end goal is software engineering, please don’t join non-IITs, NITs, or even any government colleges unless you’re getting one of the top 3 branches. IITs still allow decent opportunities even for lower branches, so you can consider that. But for NITs and other govt, if your target is software roles, think twice. Most good software companies won’t even let you sit for placements. And the few that do, barely shortlist. These colleges, just to inflate their “placement %” bring in mass recruiters offering 3–5 LPA jobs and send you to Bangalore, where you’ll end up working a part-time job and living a full-time struggle. If you’re serious about your career, prepare properly and aim for a good branch. Always, always prefer branch over college. This might sound unexpected, but trust me, this is the reality.

no one talks about the silent guilt of being unemployed. the pressure, the fear of being judged as lazy, and the disappointment of rejection emails. yet every day, you wake up, try again, and hold on to the hope that something better is on the way.

@abhisheknaironx How'd you improve on communication? It's like interviewers sometimes ask tricky questions for which you may not have the answer.

If you actually want a job, stop scrolling and figure out where you’re getting rejected: > Not getting interviews? Fix your resume/portfolio > Stuck at recruiter screens? Work on communication > Failing tech rounds? Improve your prep > Reaching finals & losing? Sharpen delivery Rejection isn’t the problem. Not knowing why you’re rejected is.

If you have >5k followers on X, learn to code. you already know how to build attention. now imagine being able to build actual products. you could ship ideas in a weekend, turn trends into tools, and make money without waiting for clients or sponsors. imagine the upside if you master both.
