Ending the sale of horticultural peat has overwhelming public support - which ever party wins the general election must take urgent action to end this damaging practice and deliver on this long standing commitment. 3/3

The sale of peat compost and peat-containing garden products will now remain legal across England. UK peatlands store more carbon than the forests of the UK, Germany and France combined - keeping peat in the ground is absolutely critical to combatting climate change. 2/3
