I forgot to report that I entered VCFA's Hunger Mountain's Ruth Stone Poetry Prize contest with my poem I'LL RIDE YOUR FELL PONY. Winner to be announced sometime in late spring...

I accidentally missed the Sunday 6:00pm opening of registration for the SCBWI New England conference. By the time I was able to check on it, all agent/editor critique slots were taken. I guess I won't be going this year. Too bad -

Well, "After careful consideration..." it's a no on TS. The agent in question had 50 pages and I think that's a good amount to send in terms of the flow of the story. So it looks like it's time for me to send out to a group. I've got some work to do!

I continue to wait for word from the agent I sent TS to... he has a 6-8 week response time, so I am still hopeful.

I read and made comments on my friend Chrysler's query letter last weekend. It was for her new novel THE WHOLE HISTORY OF LITHIA. She sent out Tuesday and already has three full requests!

This morning I reread the first 50 pages of TS, my MG manuscript... now complete at around 79,000 words... and I am so grateful to say that, I love it :)

I have sent a query and sample pages of TS to one special agent and am waiting with my fingers crossed!

I know it's been a long time... 3 1/2 years! And a lot has happened in my life... including one very important thing. I finished my book! TS is now ready to submit to agents :)

I very much enjoyed reading George S. Clason's THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON... now to use what I learned in m life :)

I reread S.J. Rozan's CHINA TRADE, the first book in a great mystery series.

It's been hard to get started again w/o my sweet Poodle girl at my side, but helped my friend Adeline with some more edits on her MG novel.

Today, I read through the last 6 chapters of my book and am happy to say, I am pleased with it! Now to write the last two chapters!!!

Tuesday, I attended the SCBWI critique group at the Eric Carle Museum. I've missed the last couple as Boca was not well. Good to be back.

I've failed to report on TWO Valley4Writers group meetings, both supportive & inspirational as always. No one yelled at me for not writing!

Life will never be the same...

I am sad to report that the reason I am behind in tweeting is that I lost my sweet, Poodle girl, Boca, on May 22, at the age of 16 1/2.

I am reading THE THICKETY: A PATH BEGINS, a MG novel by J.A. White. Just started it tonight :)

Last night I finished chapter 19 in my MG novel... that leaves only two chapters to go!!!

And thanks to Kat Yeh and her MG novel THE TRUTH ABOUT TWINKIE PIE, I am now craving twinkies!
