Finally got my first UG Natie! Sadly, she didn't hit Medium S and missed a lot of skills, but I see the potential and will hope to hit again!

@ainheg She looks good! In my opinion a little low on late race velocity but she can absolutely win! Try her out in some test races and see what it feels like. You tend to find where weaknesses are best by just running rooms

Apparently people judged me for using 3 speed cards for 0% speed growth umas while not using any speed sparks Like I'm not a gambler myself, but I call bullshit if you claim to cap speed consistently with just Kitasan and Fuku card (0 priority) lowkey

@KrisUmasimp I usually use kitasan+ntr and cap speed often enough, but I don't think fuku can do it reliably.

@Deadthingyz I've observed that too, it seems to help. I've maxed the hint level on the skill so I don't feel bad getting it early but I gotta say it's something that I have to adjust to. I've usually avoided buying skills until the very end :D

@ainheg Yeah she's naturally harder to train because her unique just doesn't work a lot of the time in career. I find that buying Nimble in junior year helps a ton with those earlier races

Welcome to my OG Nice Nature vs. Cheer Nature rant. Let me preface this essay with the following statements: Both versions of Nature can be built to win CM 13 Derby. This rant is only to talk about higher level strategy differences, my personal feelings and experiences with testing and the effort needed for building her as an ace. Please run what you want and enjoy more than anything. With that out of the way, let's start by talking about the differences between their Uniques. OG Nature is what most people are familiar with. You hit 3rd within 1 length of another uma in the late race and you get the .35 target speed increase to zoom on corner 4 or push you through the final straight. It is very easy to trigger and manipulate to your advantage in the accel zone. For CM13 specifically with Dueling, it is very powerful and can clutch wins. Cheer Nature on the other hand, is a whole different story. You first have to overtake someone on the final corner or straight. You then must be in position 4th-6th on the final straight to get the same .35 target speed increase. On top of that, if you are 4th favorite or below, you get +1 second duration. The real problem here is the positional and zone requirement. Normally when you hit your accels, you will end up zooming past other umas and more often than not, you reach higher than 4th place by the time you hit the final straight (You can see an example of this in my previous tweet) The way I would compare these 2 uniques is consistency. OG Nature can be activated very consistently due to the natural flow of races and late surgers accelerating on the final corner into the final straight. With Cheer Nature, you actively have to be performing worse or have a very specific lobby set up that is out of your control for the most part. Which makes her ult less consistent. In my personal testing, every 3 out of 5 races I hit NSM and my other accel, I would miss unique on Cheer Nature. And specific lobby set up is where we get to how try to solve part of Cheer Nature's unique predicament. You have to create scenarios as much as possible where Nature is in 4th place by the final straight. There's 2 ways I see this happening. You either run Cheer Natie as end, or you use Front Runners. Both of these ideas come with their own challenges. First off, running end as Cheer Nature in TrackBlazer is so difficult. I've tried it before and it's just.... Not the best experience. Second, using Front runners means having to spend more time creating a suitable Front that will live long enough to fulfill your position requirements, as well as hoping for some lobby RNG to be in your favor. You could run one front one end debuffer, but then you can still get bad lobby RNG that leads to missing your unique. As you can see, there's a lot to consider and a lot of effort required to make her unique work. So what is the best strategy? Honestly, I think sacrificing Cheer Nature's ult and just building as much late race velocity as possible with NSM/Red shift is the most consistent play. This is why I personally am so disappointed her ult is built around actively doing bad in a race. But as I showed in my previous tweet, you don't need ult to win. However, every 2 of 3 losses I had with Cheer Nature, OG Nature's Ult would have won those races. With that in mind, I decided to switch back to OG Nature for this CM. Not only is her career easier to run, but as a jobber who works full time, I can't commit the extra effort to make a Cheer Nature that will consistently win to my standards. I will still do my best to make OG Nature win anyway, so I hope you'll continue to support me in my mission to have Natie win as much as possible. Thank you for your time in reading this rant and if you have any questions, I'll be happy to reply as I see them.
