finally the last episode of the official eng version has been uploaded on tapas and i still feel the same mix of emotions as i did the first time
nerd project was never built as a world where evil is defeated or disappears but rather as a world where kind people find each other and choose to stay by each other’s side
that’s also why when derrick hastily exposed andy and luke’s relationship – something both of them had been so careful to protect – it couldn’t create a “big explosion” that would change the game the way he had hoped. cause how can someone who has just been exposed for their own ugliness still have enough credibility or words with enough weight to turn someone else’s secret into a scandal? in the end, derrick’s actions became nothing more than a small detail in the flow of the story
evil still exists because derrick and those prejudiced words still exist, but they are no longer the “center” of the story. what stands at the center now is: andy graduating to the loudest cheers, andy and luke still loving each other deeply and especially a happy family photo of two generations
the center of the story has never changed from the very beginning: it has always been about kind people finding each other and when they stand together, the ugliness around them eventually becomes nothing more than a story told in memory
good people gather around good people is so true.
