@yeonziie @anatchuuya @xiaodori u are weaponising autism in a way that is genuinely harmful to neurotypicals’ perception n understanding of autism by presenting autistics as adult babies unable to make mistakes, take accountability or grow which is not only untrue but further limits our abilities n worth -

“no one is making fun of your neurodivergence” do y’all ever read? no one said that. we’re saying autistic people have mental and physical illnesses that make them not handle harassment well bc it causes health issues. stop harassing autistic orbits for no reason.

@anatchuuya honestly it doesn’t sound like an easy job at all so i commend u for working on that like kids notice difference easily but they’re taught how to react to it

@aintnocrime cos quite frankly kids can pick it up quite easily, and they can also be pretty mean 😭😭😭 as an adult i also feel like it’s my responsibility to step in but i also don’t wanna overstep, i want kids to learn by themselves over time how to respect and interact with each other

no one is making fun of your neurodivergence but you’re using it as a shield for your own hypocrisy, when people call you out you refuse to ever listen and genuinely reflect on yourself. and then you turn it against them and say that they are targeting you

@anatchuuya that doesn’t surprise me! my nephew is autistic n needs a lot of support n will never be fully independent but introducing aspects of it is rly important to his development

@aintnocrime actually i work with autistic kids and we find that it’s better to not single them out / give them overly preferential treatment cos it can be rly condescending but instead we want them to find their own way of doing things and being independent

@anatchuuya and as someone who’s also autistic the implication that autistic ppl who are functional enough to be independent adults can’t be criticised or held accountable at all is actually what is ableist imo

@anatchuuya as someone who faces ableism for physical disability it’s both hilarious and tiring to see the way able bodied neurodivergent ppl will weaponise accusations of ableism to avoid accountability for their actions 😭 online seems to be the only place ableism claims work looool
