@elonmusk @Will_Tanner_1 You seem so sure. For you is it? If it is then you will never ever be satisfied or happy.

Colonialism brought infrastructure, schools, hospitals to Africa. That's a historical fact.
But colonialism was also brutal, extractive, violent. It built for the colonizers, not for the Africans. The railways were for extracting resources. The schools were for creating colonial administrators.
Saying it "brought civilization" implies there was none before — which is false. There were kingdoms, cultures, social systems. Different? Yes. Nonexistent? No.
And yes, many post-colonial African countries collapsed economically. Rhodesia was the "breadbasket of Africa." Mugabe's Zimbabwe became an economic disaster.
Is some of the rage against colonialism driven by envy? Yes, probably.
Is all of it? No. Much of it comes from real wounds, real exploitation, real violence.
The uncomfortable truth for everyone:
Colonialism brought development and exploitation. Independence brought freedom and often mismanagement. Criticism of colonialism is sometimes just and sometimes envy in disguise.
History isn't black or white. It's gray — and anyone painting it only one color is lying.

Sowell is awesome and always right
The Rabbit Hole@TheRabbitHole
Thomas Sowell points out that slavery was a universal evil rather than something local to any specific civilization.

@RudeMechanical_ @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk lol. @elonmusk stop shouting everywhere. Adjust to everything thrown at you.

@aiotechy @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk The ripple effects will do just what they do when you throw a pebble in a pond. Unless you keep throwing pebbles. It's a different world. Adjust to it

@RudeMechanical_ @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk Indigenous Slavery in Africa vs Transatlantic Slave Trade(chattel slavery)
-study more on this.
Both are bad but not recognizing it common ripple effects on future generations and dismissing it as something everyone did (not saying anyone should pay anybody) is just absurd.
English

@aiotechy @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk No one is saying it didnt happen. Quite the opposite. It happened everywhere all the time. But within 100yrs of America's existence it was driven into the shadows where it belongs. No nation thrives on open institutional slavery today. Youre welcome.

@only1kingmo @Mark_Makhasii @maetsa_kabomo 😂Living rent free in their heads. They are quite obsessed no doubt. Never for once followed the whole banter but ive seen lots of posts today from them about nigerians and quite amazed.
English

@Mark_Makhasii @maetsa_kabomo Why did you mention Nigeria now for God's sake this post isn't even about Nigeria
English

@RudeMechanical_ @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk I'm not complaining or bitter but changing goal posts and telling one side of history is not history! A lot of us see clearly here.😂
English

@aiotechy @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk Gun powder was invented in China my illiterate friend. Talk to them. They took and were taken as slaves too. Welcome to Earth. Humans suck. Deal with it
English

@RudeMechanical_ @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk Ofcourse. You think they crossed the Atlantic for a get together party with some monkeys in the jungle?😂
English

@aiotechy @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk Nah, the old school way. By looting and pillaging their enemies and peaceful neighbors.
Did you think pasty white sailors went into the jungles and chased them down?🤣
English

@RudeMechanical_ @AnfieldNigga @elonmusk rounded them up with guns right? Some came raiding with guns. Gun is not an african thing btw it came from somewhere.😅
English

@AnfieldNigga @elonmusk You want reparations, go to the people who rounded you up, death marched you to the sea, and got rich selling you. Ghana Boy
English

@elonmusk Trying your utmost best to try and sanitize the evils perpetrated against Black Americans by pointing out the fact that "other people did it too," aren't you, Pretoria boy??
English

Its obvious a lot here (even the intellectuals) do not even know their history!😂

Africans stuff the little slave children in bags.
Notice the corrupt UN says nothing, they're too busy accusing Britain of "crimes against humanity" for the 17th century slave trade.
Visegrád 24@visegrad24
Congolese children stuffed in bags are up for sale as “child labour” to the highest bidder. An estimated 40,000 children work in the cobalt mines of the DRC. Where is the outrage from Black Lives Matter and other organisations?
English

@aiotechy @Chindaah @WanjiruNjoya No one cares about your clownish efforts to minimize African involvement in their native system of slavery
English

@aiotechy @Chindaah @WanjiruNjoya 3/4 of Africans were the slaves of the free 1/4 population of Africans

@Dare_Ekitiman @WanjiruNjoya "matter how powerful a man is, he cannot.."
Wrong!
Colonization didn’t happen in isolation........".
Often true!
Keep in mind some along the coast were raided and stolen away by foreigners not necessarily betrayed or sold by their fellow blacks-minor fraction though.
English

I’ve always said it: no matter how powerful a man is, he cannot take over a land he doesn’t know unless those who own it allow it. Colonization didn’t happen in isolation, it thrived on internal divisions and cooperation. The same goes for the slave trade; it would never have reached the scale it did if our own people hadn’t, in some cases, put self-interest above collective survival.
My opinion is valid!
English

Africans were selling fellow Africans as slaves to Arab slave traders for CENTURIES before the first Europeans ever showed up.
And when Britain banned the slave trade they got angry that their trade was being thwarted and refused to stop slave trading.
Chinda@Chindaah
@WanjiruNjoya Africans might be the biggest problem of Africa. Without Africans slave trade could have never been possible.

thing is you've all been fooled...
"WHITE" slavery NEVER ended... it was just upgraded/disguised as FOREVER DEBT slavery...
Where as Black slavery like in the OP... they are just 100 years behind the curve...
You want to to really make a difference... look at those who ALLOWED it to happen... Governments... THEY manufactured the DEMAND which fuelled the slavery trades...
WHAT do you think BANKS do today... they fuel the DEBT enslavement trade...
You do NOT own ANYTHING... you are just a custodian until the BANKS who lobby the government takes it back...
