No regard for civilian life, civilian infrastructure, the consequences of his craziness to the nations in the region that he calls “allies” that will suffer because of him, or even to his own country.
Went to war for Israel. Won’t back down because of his fragile ego.

Ironically, the most important thing to address here is the terrible choice of words (which is rooted in a bad mentality that caused the whole issue in the first place).
“Thoroughly used” for a HUMAN BEING, esp in reference to being with ONE person sexually is concerning & unbefitting for people with understanding & good values. It shows a warped idea of sex (as something done to women), being sinful & repenting from sins. I’m very confident that the “used” label had nothing to do with the sinful nature of what she went through but that she went through it at all. And the fact that she repented (an act described by the Prophet as something that makes her seem as if she never sinned) is even further proof.
Therefore, it is mindsets like this that affect how we see women who have been chaste all their lives by Islamic standards, but have been unfortunate to lose their husbands/marriage, hence becoming undesirable on the “marriage market”. Many among our mothers (of the believers) and the great sahābiyyāt were exactly like this & the pious men of the past saw them differently. We want our women to be like the women of the past, but we don’t want to be those men & vice-versa. It is wrong & we need to do better.
Secondly, referring to her as “APPARENTLY modest” is also unnecessarily and highly disrespectful, if she has genuinely repented from her sinful past. If she has, she is modest. End of. No ifs, buts, or maybes. In an athar narrated from ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattab, he reportedly said, “we judge by what’s apparent”. And one’s past (even the word indicates it’s gone) isn’t a factor when it comes to what’s currently apparent, esp if it doesn’t affect it.
All these said, I’m NOT saying she or any woman like her MUST be your cup of tea, as you are allowed your preference, as long as you don’t slander and tarnish the image of these women unfairly. In fact, contrary to what many have been saying & in the spirit of insaf, there’s nothing wrong with revealing her KNOWN past (not speculated & no, hearsay isn’t a proof. It gotta be shar’i level of witnessing, in the sense of seeing the actual act yourself or getting narration from thiqqa sources, which can’t be a similarly sinful person like the alleged co-zāni) if it’s relevant to the present, even after repentance. Like if one is aware of the seeker’s preference (esp if it’s very important to him) or the past behaviors have ongoing and/or indelible negative effects. If it doesn’t and/or it’s mere hearsay (even if from a zāni claiming to have done it with her), and her current status is genuine chastity, then the correct Islamic position is to shut your mouth.
In conclusion, outside the already addressed wrong wording & approach to this matter & depending on the details, such as the relevance of the info, etc, it may not be anyone’s fault but the sister’s. While it’s true Allah is all forgiving & she is now considered chaste shar’an, it doesn’t mean actions won’t have social/worldly consequences. And it makes sense, as a lesson and a deterrent to all that a life full of sins, esp major sins, is NEVER worth it & MIGHT come back to haunt you, except by Allaah’s will (which is the counterbalance that grants succor to those that repent). It is okay though, as again, if Allaah wills, and I pray he does, he will grant you your person eventually, who wouldn’t even look that deep into your history, talk less of having issues with it. This one was just never meant to be yours.
Na’am.

A brother fell in love with an apparent modest sister. Proceeding to istishaarah, someone now informed him of how the sister was once thoroughly used by someone he knows before she repented. Now the brother withdrew his interest. Who do you think is wrong? What's your advice?

Iranians are animals, Somalians are garbage people, Rubio says decolonization was worst thing for Western European, genocide is normalized in Palestine - you see a pattern here? This is the face of white supremacy and white power gone mad. They are prepared to blow up world.

Let me take a moment to appreciate this woman, @aishat_alpha.
A lot of you commend my writing, but what you do not know is there is someone behind it. Some people have even accused me of using AI. But this woman right here is the one who helped shape my writing skills as far back as 2019, long before AI was a thing.
I remember how I would send my drafts to her. She would help me correct them and teach me how to write better. That is how I became so fast and skilled.
After that, I got writing gigs, and I worked in Newspaper companies, as well as a contributor writer for News platforms in Nigeria. My writing speed today is unbelievable. Sometimes I am in awe of how fast I can think and put words down.
In fact, when I started my Islamic podcast on the explanation of Addau-wa-adawah by Ibn Qayyim, she was the only female listener I had. You can imagine that. She was not happy when I stopped back then. But here I am today.
This woman contributed immensely to my growth. Please help me say a prayer for her and let us follow her. Let us push her account to 1k followers. I will be very happy about that.
I will keep making appreciation posts for the people who molded me, taught me, and shared their knowledge with me. No matter how much you know, there is always a source.
Thank you all for sticking with me. God bless you 🤝
