The PM profession spent two decades building its identity around one rule: you are not a developer. That orthodoxy created a specific failure mode nobody talks about. PMs who can articulate exactly what to build but have no way to verify whether what got built matches what they articulated. The only feedback mechanism is a review meeting two weeks later where everyone's already emotionally invested in the wrong version. Here's the paradox. The PMs who started shipping code didn't become worse product thinkers. They became better ones. Their prioritization got sharper because they felt engineering constraints firsthand. You stop requesting "quick wins" that require database migrations once you've touched a schema yourself. Their user empathy improved because they could prototype and test in hours instead of waiting for a sprint. More reps, faster signal, better product intuition. Their engineer relationships transformed because they stopped being the person who requests and started being the person who builds alongside. That shift in dynamic changes every conversation about scope, tradeoffs, and timelines. The industry told PMs that coding was beneath their role. The data says it was above it. The PMs who crossed that line are running the best teams in tech right now, and the gap between them and everyone else is compounding every quarter.

PMs who ship code make engineers happier. Here's why, and how to start this week. 🔗: news.aakashg.com/p/pm-guide-shi…

In our next Learners’ Community Session, we’re going beyond prompting into workflow engineering where AI becomes part of how you think, plan, and execute as a Product Manager. We’re joined by @taslimokunola , who currently leads strategy and operations across Google’s subscription and platform ecosystem He’ll walk through how to build AI-powered workflows that handle product research, generate high-fidelity PRDs, prototype ideas faster, and even simulate stakeholder feedback before decisions are made so you’re not starting from zero every time. Good People, I am delighted to share that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria has granted my company Approval-in-Principle (AIP) to operate a new securities exchange in Nigeria. This is a full-service exchange (yes, “stock market” lol) designed to support public markets, private markets, and derivatives, covering instruments such as equities, corporate and government bonds, commercial papers, ETFs, and more. Our mission is anchored on “exchanging prosperity” through the principle of “investment inclusion”, transforming idle money into productive capital that can uplift communities across the nation.  Roughly ₦5 trillion in circulating currency sits outside Nigeria’s banking system, largely idle and earning nothing. If we can channel even 50% of that into simple sovereign instruments, say FGN savings bonds or Treasury Bills at just 10%, that would generate about ₦250 billion in returns for citizens, while also providing the government with capital to fund development. Extend this across state bonds and other instruments, and the implication becomes clear: Nigeria is not short of money; it is under-mobilized. Contisx aspires to become part of the solution. We have begun the countdown to launch on our website: contisx.com — targeting September 2026. We are inviting stakeholders across Nigeria to participate in this journey. How can we support your business, cooperative, or state to scale through the capital market? (The live buttons on website are not active; those will become active on launch). I commend the leaders of our nation for the Investments and Securities Act (ISA) 2025, arguably the most consequential economic and business legislation in Nigeria since 1999. It provides the foundation upon which a new era of capital formation can be built. I am confident that the 2030s will become Nigeria’s decade of capital, and I am building with that conviction. I also extend my appreciation to the leadership of the Securities and Exchange Commission; our Director-General, Dr. Emomotimi Agama, Commissioner Ajomale, Director Mrs. Rufai, and the entire team, for their dedication and excellence in advancing regulatory service. Good People: “build, list, and trade on Contisx — we’re exchanging prosperity”, not just for the rise of few, but for the rise of ALL. Our flag is up in our headquarters in Owerri (regional centers in Aba, Kano, Ibadan, etc coming); we welcome you to partner with Contisx and ring the bell to prosperity. Prof. Ndubuisi Ekekwe Founder, Contisx Securities Exchange Plc

🚨 AWS DevOps Agent is finally here! On March 31, 2026, AWS DevOps Agent became generally available. This is actually a big deal. It can: → Generate CI/CD pipelines → Debug failed deployments → Suggest infrastructure changes → Analyze logs and incidents → Help with Terraform & CloudFormation → Recommend cost optimizations → Explain AWS architecture issues Basically, it’s like having a junior DevOps engineer inside AWS. DevOps is slowly becoming AI-assisted operations. Source: aws.amazon.com/devops-agent/

STATE OF THE PRODUCT JOB MARKET IN EARLY 2026 In spite of the headlines about layoffs and AI taking jobs, we’re actually seeing a lot of promising signs in tech hiring, and some interesting new trends: 1. PM openings are at the highest levels we’ve seen in over three years 2. AI hasn’t slowed the demand for software engineers (at least not yet) 3. AI roles in general are absolutely exploding 4. Design roles have plateaued 5. The Bay Area is increasing in importance 6. Remote work opportunities continue to decline 7. Despite ongoing layoffs, the overall number of tech jobs continues to grow More in 🧵

No more “senior” No more “junior” No more “intermediate” Just how good & fast you can “AI-pill domains & industries & unlock distribution of agent automation” This is the new normal. 8 or 14 or 20 or 35 or 50 years old. Doesn’t matter anymore. Just Cognition & GPUs!
