Let me start by saying I REALLY hope Hodgson works out at PC. We need PC to be good in the Big East & they have the resources to be good. That said, I think it’s a risky hire coming off English’s tenure. 3 weeks ago nobody knew who Hodgson was. The AAC is a different beast than the Big East & he spent one season coaching high mid-major hoops. He has 1 more year of HC experience than English had, runs a similar scheme offensively, and isn’t the recruiter English is. I don’t know enough about him to lean one way or another but I assumed PC would hire a somewhat proven HC after the Kim English experiment ended. I seriously hope it works out.
