26 bags on the day when all reckoned up. 45 bags for #gbspringclean
English

@maltontidygroup has got started: 8 bags collected to date, and our monthly litter pick on Sunday 2nd April

Ryedale DC@RyedaleDC
A litter picker found a cd, cassette, beer bottles, a baby's hat and a paint roller. Thank you to all of the litter pickers we have in Ryedale. We appreciate your efforts. ⭐ Join us and @KeepBritainTidy for this year's #GBSpringClean: keepbritaintidy.org/GBSpringClean #BigBagChallenge

@cleanupbritain @NicholasHellen We've found dozens of abandoned batteries, presumably from roadworks, around the A64 roundabout at Old Malton, North Yorkshire

English

'FULL HOUSE'....!
Wilfully discarded signs, sandbags, cones and hazard lights. (Not to mention the battered and broken sign in the background). This level of shameless disregard is repeated all over the country. @NicholasHellen

English

@Howardian_Hills A great job done in conjunction with @CastleHowardEst Quite an eye opener on how much plastic needs removing from hedges @KeepBritainTidy @CPRE
English

Anyone else finding discarded block batteries like these on their #litter picks? Likely discarded by highways workers, along with all the cones, signs and sandbags (costing ££££). Bad for the environment. @cleanupbritain

English

@Willhide Looks like it's up on Fryton Lane, looking north across the Vale of Pickering towards the NY Moors
English

@cleanupbritain @LGAcomms Volunteers from @maltontidygroup forever gathering up abandoned traffic signage, cones and sandbags (must be costing a fortune). Lots scattered around the A64 #Malton including dozens of 4R25 block batteries @HighwaysYORKS

English

It’s not only members of the public who litter, but scattered all over Britain are the remnants of Council/contractors’ signs and discarded sandbags. @LGAcomms

@ajcroser @northyorksc @East_Riding @RyedaleDC @cleanupbritain @maltontidygroup The scourge of the countryside. Fly tipping tyres and mattresses is bad enough but the smaller items can all be taken home and binned, instead they’re blown around and left for someone else to pick up. Can only hope the ban on single use plastics and deposit return scheme helps.
English

Yet more evidence (if any more is really needed) of how some people trash our nation with #litter & dumping. Picked around an informal layby @northyorksc @East_Riding boundary south of #Wharram @RyedaleDC B road in #yorkshirewolds @cleanupbritain @maltontidygroup on tour

English

Some people don't mess around in North Yorkshire in trying to tackle #flytipping #litter @cleanupbritain

English

@maltontidygroup @RyedaleDC @KeepBritainTidy @visitmalton @gazetteherald 16 volunteers in the end. And heading for a record year.
