@ajjuz @jemin_p That unhinged brutal action sequence is probably the first of its kind in B'wood. Another favourite for me is the brief exchange before he shoves Khanani from the terrace. He's probably at his most menacing then.

10% of GDP stimulus killed Kerala's competitive advantage, first in terms of infrastructure, then it terms of labour market. Same thing happened to Bengal with the advent of mass communication & mass production of personal vehicles. Advantage of high pop density was gone.

@RishiJoeSanu I don't know how Keralam lost the in the 2000s an onwards. In the 90s Palakkad BPL was ruling consumer durables, Vguard was into stabilisers, Asianet was the first regional Cable Channel,Infopark was the first IT park in India. Kerala Fishermen were pioneers in mobile usage.

@labstamil And what exactly should he do ? Publicly criticize the DMK and get a target painted on his and his family's forehead. You do know he lives in DMK ruled TN which is like living in SP ruled UP.

A "Brahmin" mama with Naamam on the forehead, Rudraksha by the neck, half sleeve banian for attire and a visibly thick janeu with 18 threads is campaigning for DMK 🔥🔥🔥 Everyday is April 1 in DNadu 😆

@PoisonOfChoice @jemin_p I watched it yesterday the second time. I couldn't get enough of Jaskirat taking revenge in the first half. The whole thing is supremely stylized amazingly shot. I just hope it gets noticed in International festival for that action piece.

Been over a week since I watched D2. The movie, especially the music, live rent free in my head. BGM of D2 while seeming lackluster on first listen, grows on you & seeps into your soul. Jaiye Sajna, Aakhri Ishq, Mann Atkeya, Phir Se, Jaan Se Guzarte Hai... Shashwat is a magician.

@RishiJoeSanu Also Keralam built the first privately built and run airport in India. I guess Keralam lost focus in getting Fords, Hyundais, Toyotas,Googles,IBMs to it's shore. It completely missed the BPO revolution, y2k panic. Keralam forgot to plug into the world standards.

Kerala had a ridiculously high 90% literacy rate in 1991 census so much so that Sandesham (1991) was cracking the "100% literacy saar" joke 35 years ago. If Kerala had abandoned this communism BS after 1991 economic liberalization then the state would have been like Singapore today. We squandered three decades dabbling in communism during a time when the whole world was throwing commies out. Gen Z Malayalis don't realize that the true golden age of Kerala was in the 90s and early 2000s when Gulf boom was at its peak and Malayalis used their educational edge to corner the early gains from 1991. The Kerala that Mallu zoomers are experiencing today is a state that has relatively passed its peak over a decade ago
RiJOY🎧@iamrijoy

1. It is was CPIM who is responsible for Nokku kooli 2. It was CPIM who protested against private universities and delayed it 3. It was CPIM who made doing business difficult in Kerala since decades If there wasn’t Communists Kerala could have achieved all these in 90s itself.

@ActorMadhavan We need more Rocketry : The Nambi Effect type movies, Sir. And you are one of the few who can tell these kinds of stories. The Vikas Engine test scene was so well shot.

@UJJAVALSHAH2 @subhashchandra @ZeeNews The man dug his own grave getting into power, movies and buying Adlabs. He could have been HDFC rival and Telecom giant. He was good at raising capital too.

@k_krahul @HMOIndia Must be humoring them to find their reactions. He is certainly smart, maybe with encouragement from IB to propagate false bravado and to elevate the ego of the Pakistanis.

@OmarAbbasHyat @Abhas1234567 Now, they have pi$$ed Shias. Gilgit Baltistan is a Shia-majority region. This makes things far more tricky than the Afghan Border. Iran can fund Shia resistance endlessly, this too at the border. The Pakistani Military knows this and is trying to work something out.

The thing is, Pakistan is facing monumental failures in socio-economic delivery, internal security, and democratic institutionalisation, and its military establishment appears to be pursuing assertive geopolitical posturing (via strategic rentierism and frontier leverage) to manufacture domestic legitimacy. This clown show of “punching above its weight,” echoing their WoT entanglement, doesn’t have any coherent vision beyond sustaining their role as a mercenary buffer state for hire kinda thing. In 5–10 years, they would go back to lamenting these choices just as they now do about the WoT era. In the process they are attacking their internal stakeholders, attacking neighbours like Afghanistan. The whole thing is a sh** show!

@Abhas1234567 Ya and the point is hosting doesn't serve Pakistan much. Now UAE and Saudis want their money back. Imagine if this negotiations go south the pressure on Pakistan will be immense. And when Pakistan is arresting Shias why would Iran want to come over ? @OmarAbbasHyat
