@Banjy47 @HIGUAIN2 Okocha should be nowhere near the top 10. He achieved nothing tangible in his peak with the national team and the same thing with all the clubs he played for. What exactly do you remember Okocha for apart from dribbles? I'll wait.

In as much as we want to ask more from the Lagos govt, or in as much as we can argue that Lagos can do more, the truth is that if just 10 other states in Nigeria are half as strategic or progressive as Lagos since 1999, and if their people held them to account half as much as they hold Lagos, Nigeria will be at least 10x better than it is today.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu@jidesanwoolu

We have received a new set of 24-car trains to strengthen the Lagos Red Line fleet. This will improve capacity, reduce wait times and make daily commuting easier for Lagosians. We remain focused on building a transport system that is efficient and reliable for everyone. That is still our goal.

Shan George wrote: "Many Nigerians hv travelled abroad in order to give birth to their children, so that d children will be citizens of such cities/countries, like America, London etc. And that's ok and awesome. My question is, why can't a Nigerian that is Igbo, born and brought up in Lagos, Kano, Calabar, etc, be a certified citizen of that place? A Nigerian can become citizen in another country, run elections, win and lead. But that can't happy in Nigeria to Nigeria? Oyino nobi our problem, na we hate each other too much, for whatever reasons, and it's highly preposterous. Bitterleaves In High Places. God help us. #Shangeorge #SundayBlessings #NewWeekGrace #onelove Dear Shan You have stated it so simply that the undiscerning can easily agree with your type of thinking. But wait a minute. You are a Nigerian, ain't you? Before then you are IBO judging from your accent, manners and style of thinking. You will ALWAYS be IBO forever and ever. It wasn't determined by you but the circumstance of your birth. What you can alter is your CITIZENSHIP but NEVER YOUR ANCESTRY. When you as an Ibo woman go to the UK to give birth what you get for your child or children is BRITISH CITIZENSHIP and not ancestry. That child or those children of yours will NEVER EVER be called or known as English and neither can they be Scottish, Welsh or Irish. They will ALWAYS be BRITISH CITIZENS of Nigeria Ibo dissent. And they can actually lose the citizenship of the English, Scottish, Irish or Welsh think they are constituting a nuisance on their lands. The only place you have the kind of madness you dream of is in the United States and that is because the genocidal controllers of the United States STOLE THE ANCESTRAL LANDS of another people so they wouldn't mind and increasing population of people like you to join them maintain their hold. In Nigeria the FACT of your birth or ancestry already guarantees you NIGERIAN CITIZENSHIP just as any other person from Ghana born in Lagos can get the Nigerian Citizenship of he some wishes. It is very disingenuous and infact very wickedly criminal of you to say and deliberately confuse INDIGENESHIP WITH CITIZENSHIP. INDIGENESHIP is tied to ANCESTRY. It is tied to land and long history of lineage, Ancestors , Spirituality etc CITIZENSHIP is about the circumstances of your birth within the geographical expression of any country. It is a document which identifies your place of birth or choice of Nationality. It never confers on you Indigeneship status of any tribe or ethnicity in that country, at least not automatically unless perhaps you have stayed and seen to have CONVINCINGLY ASSIMILATED. So I ask you why do you as AN IBO WOMAN need to have YORUBA or any other ANCESTRY???? Why? I know for a FACT that Ibos don't ASSIMILATE but try to REPLACE. Look at the Rhodes-Vivour family for example. Garnet Rhodes-Vivour came to Lagos as 100% Ibo man. He married a lady who was accepted as Yoruba. His first son was named Akinwunmi, Akinwunmi got Wale and Wale got the one calls himself Gbadebo. Till today that Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour THINKS, ACTS, BEHAVES, SPEAKS AND EATS IBO. his mother and wife are IBOS..He openly identified with IBO IPOB, IPOB #EndSARS and IPOB Obidient Movement. He openly denigrates Yoruba leaders aans culture and supports anything IBO against the interest of Lagos. Is that one a Yoruba or Àwóri man! NEVER!!! Is that what you want, the reason you need Yoruba INDIGENESHIP? You want to be IBO in Yoruba land to live Ibo culture, speak your Ibo language, influence our Demographic Social,Political and Economic balances and before we know it Yoruba land can become Ibo land? You want to REPLACE US. Onyeochi. And it has happened before. You did it against the IBIBIOS until Ibibio land is today's Ibo Abia State. You did it against the IJAWS until OPOBO is still a subject of serious acrimony between the two of you....\

You conducted elections, announced results, and now you're writing epistle to tell the victors "abeg no start work yet" is this the PARTY THAT WANTS TO GOVERN NIGERIA? The old executives are still in charge. The new executives are on standby. And the party is releasing press statements to manage ITSELF. ADC needs to govern their party before asking Nigerians for votes

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wishes to reiterate that the tenure of all newly elected State Executives and other party officers shall not commence until the expiration of the tenure of the current executives and their formal inauguration by the Party on May 12, 2026, or on any later date that may be officially communicated. For the avoidance of doubt, all existing executives remain the duly recognised officers of the Party until the completion of this constitutional transition process. Accordingly, all newly elected executives, particularly at the state level, are advised to take note and desist from any action, representation, or conduct that may contravene this clear constitutional directive or create confusion within the Party structure. The ADC remains committed to orderliness, discipline, and strict adherence to its constitution and democratic processes.

Self Appointed ADC Chairman Nafiu in the Cold, No more Funding from Sponsors, Ejected out of Transcorp Hiton Abuja. Ex ADC Deputy National Chairman, Nafiu Bala Gombe, has reportedly fallen out of favour with his APC-backed sponsors over allegations of the non-disbursement of his second-phase payout and their failure to renew his hotel suite. Nafiu Bala Gombe is reportedly no longer in the good books of the APC chieftains backing his activities. This follows a critical assessment allegedly conducted by his sponsors regarding his assignment to undermine the main opposition party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Reports indicate that his principal backers at the presidency were unhappy with ADC’s growing popularity, especially in the North, as well as his failure to stop the party from conducting its congresses and its unprecedentedly successful national convention. His sponsors reportedly decided to discontinue the failed project, a development that left Nafiu Bala Gombe angry and allegedly threatening to apologise to ADC leaders and expose those who sponsored him

Politics 101: The truth is only a Northerner can defeat the president. A Southerner in the opposition cannot pull off the votes from NW and NE needed to unseat the incumbent. Unfortunately for the opposition, the president has done a great job by consolidating on his southern bloc. Obi/RMK will be an effort in futility.

“No one among the coalition leaders is without history, the head (Atiku) was the chairman of the privatization council of Nigeria at one time. They privatized the steel industry in Delta, is it working today? They privatized Ajaokuta, is it working today? They privatized another man’s political party; that one says no.” - President Tinubu blasts Atiku on failed privatization and ADC Leaders

2023 Presidential Election was crazy. As a deductive person, I dashed my vote to Atiku as per PDP structure. Same with majority of Akwa Ibom voters, that Presidential ballot was a mess. I look ballot, Tinubu was APC, Atiku a fulani contesting after a Fulani... I blur. There was a reason Akwa Ibom promoted "Akwa Ibom PDP", we did State over National. With Tinubu 2027, the Political trajectory is clear... We need show working to be on the table. Enye Ndi Eba X2.... Transactional politics is the way for minorities. You do for me me, I do for you... Logics will always thrash emotions. QED
