My argument was about institutional continuity, not personal guilt. Governments are legal entities that persist across generations and have paid reparations before for historical actions.🙄 i.e "Civil Liberties Act" That is different from saying individual citizens are morally responsible for other people’s crimes.😒

The debate in Minnesota is being misframed. This is not about whether someone had the right to carry a firearm to a protest. The First Amendment protects protest. The Second Amendment protects the right to keep and bear arms. You can legally carry a firearm loaded, with magazines at a protest. That right does not vanish because the setting is tense or political. In Minnesota, not having your permit physically on you is a petty misdemeanor, not jail-worthy, and the citation must be dismissed if a valid permit existed. Paperwork is not the issue. And carrying a loaded firearm is not a threat by itself. Millions of Americans lawfully carry every day without incident. Rights do not become violence simply because they make people uncomfortable. The real question is judgment. Why carry a firearm into close proximity with federal agents during a volatile encounter? That’s not a constitutional issue it’s a prudence issue. Lawful does not always mean wise, especially in chaotic moments where split-second decisions have permanent consequences. That’s why facts and a full investigation matter. We can defend constitutional rights and acknowledge reality at the same time. Anything less isn’t justice it’s noise.

Civil Liberties Act of 1988 was paid for crimes the Government did during the 40's. Lets just stay within context when sharing your thoughts😒
