Whenever I hear Ladakhis complain about how our youth is 'losing touch with their culture', I counter them with examples like Noor Jahan. A Muslim by faith, she does the critical work of documenting, restoring/conserving ancient Buddhist thangkas, manuscripts, wall paintings. 1/N

Woke oppressor justify themselves by falsely accusing the oppressed of being suffering from "mental health issues". Not much different from traditional oppressor who is comfortable with the term "mental". In both cases aim is to delegitimize the experiences of the oppressed.

The Myth that Muslims are underrepresented in Central Universities than SC, ST and OBCs. I had a look at the UGC annual report for 2021-22. The enclosed graphic gives the representation in central universities category wise and for Muslims as a whole. An increasing order of representation at various levels is given below, including Muslims. Professors : General (93.91%) > Muslims (45.20%)> SC (4.43%)> Other Minorities (2.86%)> OBC (1.11%)> ST (O.55%) >Pwd(0.37%) Associate Professors: General (87.95%) > Muslims (14.78%)> SC (6.05%)> OBC (3.67%)> Other Minorities (3.03%)>ST (2.10%) >Pwd(0.41%) Assistant Professors General (62.93%) > > OBC (18%)> SC (11.97%)> Muslims (11.51%)> Other Minorities (6.16%)> ST (6.01%) >Pwd(2.08%) So it is clear from the above data at the higher levels like Professors, Upper Caste Hindus and Muslims have very high representation compared to their population. The traditionally underrepresented classes SC/ST/OBC continue to have dismal representation at various levels. Link to annual report: drive.google.com/file/d/1_UY_CX… #Reservation #SC #ST #OBC

Persistence of CPI(M) in Kerala is by and large a product of its adoption of neoliberal policies without acknowledgement and commitment to uphold the Muslim community interest in the State.

All minority institutions, such as AMU and Stephens, are required to enforce reservations for SC/ST/OBCs. When they receive government financial aid, assistance, and recognition, they cannot disregard or oppose the constitutional obligation. The country must abide by the Constitution.

@SarangCH6 @Cong_Left @pinarayivijayan Yes, mob lynching and murder of the dalit migrant worker Rajesh Manjhi in Kerala is condemnable. Kerala society does have a collective tendency to ignore and maintain silence on attacks on Dalits when the culprits are Keralites. Hope that the culprits are identified and punished.

Kerala takes another remarkable step to empower workers by launching India's first welfare fund exclusively for MGNREGS and AUEGS schemes. It will ensure pensions, medical assistance, and family pensions for registered workers while extending educational aid to their children.

A 36-year-old man named Rajesh Manjhi, belonging to the Dalit community, was tragically killed in Kerala by a group of individuals with racist motives. Rajesh Manjhi, originally from Bihar's East Champaran district, worked as a migrant laborer. He was lynched and beaten for approximately two hours by at least eight individuals, who subsequently left him outside a shop around 2:30 am on Saturday. It is important to note that while incidents of theft are reported from various segments of Kerala's society, it is only members of tribal and Dalit communities who are killed even on mere suspicion. Although Kerala is known for its secular values, it is disheartening to acknowledge that casteism remains prevalent among the majority of society. In this particular case, all the accused individuals belong to the OBC Muslim community. The state government's failure to address and eliminate racism and casteism is the root cause of repeated incidents of lynching. It is imperative that we no longer tolerate such heinous acts of violence. We urge the Chief Minister of Kerala, @CMOKerala, to take strict measures to combat casteism and racism in the state. Additionally, we appeal for the government to provide a compensation of 50 lakhs to the victim's family. @BhimArmyChief @VinayRatanSingh @SPC_Kerala

Given the right wing politics of Daily Mail, this is less about BJP and more aimed against the non-white Hindu Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Though it has a nice ring to it. It's not just the South India, BJP is out of power in many of the non-Southern States such as Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, and Jharkhand.

“On behalf of all Dalit Californians and caste-oppressed people around the world, we are ecstatic that the California Senate has passed SB403 off the Senate floor. This is a win rooted in years of Dalit feminist organizing, and we are just getting started in making the state safe for our entire caste-oppressed community. We know that we have a long journey ahead of us with this bill, but we have made history with this vote and are proud to look forward to working with the California Assembly on this historic bill! Equality Labs thanks all of the partners in Californians for Caste Equity who worked tirelessly to get us this far!! Jai bhim and Jai Savitri
