Watching Jansen getting the ball to misbehave this much (there were signs even against the openers early on) puts the shots from Jurel and Pant in a bit of perspective. Not saying they were great shots, but explains why they may have felt they needed to take their chances.

Rishabh Pant fans are trolling KL Rahul, but their own idol scored just 7 runs and gifted his wicket to Marco Jansen. And it’s only because of Pant’s captaincy that we ended up facing such a huge scorecard. His decisions directly cost us the match on our own home ground. Even tailenders like Marco Jansen scored 93 runs, and every South African batter except Harmer reached double digits. That alone shows how poor his captaincy was. The entire blame for this Test match loss goes to Rishabh Pant.
