@mjackson Have you tried Ember lately? It gets you to just JS and HTML as close as possible.

We’re cooking up a brand new model for building UI components in Remix 3. It combines the best parts of React, while getting you even closer to the web and JavaScript. It’s the most “just JavaScript” component model we’ve ever worked with. We think you’re gonna love it!

@nullvoxpopuli 9 addons + 14 engines + 1 app, totalling around ~6,000 tests. Full CI run takes us around ~10 minutes, we can definitely do better but we have already came a long way from having CI runs taking 15-20 minutes

The ember.js project at work has about 18,000 browser tests. They run in about 10 minutes. Are stable! And half of them are due to tech debt and ineffective testing strategies (which we're working on (both tech and education)). Even then, we can go faster. How fast are your tests in the browser?

@nullvoxpopuli Most of my work happens in my head, commits are only 10% of actual effort to make something work.

After trying to shoehorn yarn to actually tell me the truth in monorepo setups I am convinced that pnpm is just the way to go.

JS Framework Benchmark available for Chrome 121. Who know that is fucking GXT? It’s faster than React, smaller than Svelte an using Ember syntax. 🤔

It's been a long time coming but I published an #emberjs blog post again. This time, it's about a non-feature I'd like to see used more, using simple functions as helpers: balinterdi.com/blog/using-sim…

Staying up to date is not optional. you carry a ton of dead weight in your app if you fall behind.
