Some of you are not going to like what I’m about to say, and if you are mutuals and want to talk after this my DM’s are open. If you have an issue actually speak to me if we knew eachother. I’m going to be straight up, if I ever get harassed by people with any fuckass label know I don’t give a fuck about their fuckass label and I won’t want you to use whatever happens to me against them. Because when in July it was “Antis” AND “proshippers” on my ass I didn’t give a fuck then and I don’t give a fuck now what they called themselves/people called them. Your labels mean nothing to most of us who have been in fandom spaces and just want to enjoy an IP - what matters is how you treat people. If you see anything, even from people who are neutral and don’t have anything against your side or trope or localisation preference etc, as something that has to be treated like food for your fires then you have lost the plot. It’s only YOU YOU YOU, how people are using it “against you” how you can use it “for you”. What about those of us who don’t care? It’s fine to have fictional preferences, it’s perfectly fine to have boundaries, and assuming everyone on one side is the same is some of the dumbest shit I’ve ever come across. People in book and game spaces used to be able to actually respect the separation between what people consume and it is actually more than fine if you do not want to see or be around a topic - SAME HERE - but consistently being on the ass of people into shit you hate is on you too. Also I have friends even before this fandom into things I am not, we just explicitly have stated our boundaries and DO NOT talk about that shit. Everyone’s levels are different, the bare minimum you can do is monitor your actions and words to not cause more damage.
