Hi everybody, sorry for the extended downtime. We wanted to make sure everything was fully fixed before bringing the server back online. Here’s what we worked on during the downtime: New Session System (JWT): We now use JWT to store user sessions. This should fix the bug where some users were randomly logged into another account. We believe the issue was caused by a race condition in the old server-side session cache. Improved Security Headers: All authenticated responses now include Cache-Control: no-store and other headers to prevent Cloudflare from caching sensitive data. Cache System Upgrade Prep: We’ve laid the groundwork to migrate to a more resilient server-side cache in the near future. Added horses to Wplace. Try to find them 🐴 ChatGPT has been nerfed Server Upgrade: We’ve moved to a more powerful server, which should improve performance. More upgrades are planned soon. As an apology for the downtime, we’re giving 5,000 droplets** to all users after the lockdown is lifted. Thanks for your patience and understanding! 🙇
